(NaturalNews) Flu shots have become a product similar to soft drinks or candy bars in the United States. With your local pharmacy advertising flu shots on television and boasting bargain prices, flu shots have become embedded into the mind of the consumer as just another purchase. A purchase that at one time they thought could be beneficial to them, preventing the next wave of the dreary flu that was approaching in a few short months. In light of multiple scientific findings surfacing in the top stories of media outlets worldwide, however, the public is now reconsidering the routine flu shot purchase. So much so that last year Statistics Canada reported that 60% of Canadians and 80% of Americans refused the H1N1 vaccination. The very same H1N1 vaccination that is now coupled with the regular seasonal flu shot.
For Good Reason
It is no coincidence that the public is suspicious over the safety of the flu vaccinations. Organizations around the world have been speaking out against the H1N1 vaccine, linking it to a deadly autoimmune condition known as Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS). Even the mainstream media was forced to report on the association between the vaccine and GBS, with the Times Online offering warning that the vaccine had a 'death link'. Neurologists around the world were even warned about the safety of the vaccine by Professor Elizabeth Miller, head of the immunization department for UK's Health Protection Agency.
"The vaccines used to combat an expected swine influenza pandemic in 1976 were shown to be associated with GBS and were withdrawn from use," she wrote in a letter to neurologists.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) also issued a warning regarding the H1N1 swine flu
vaccine: "Given the uncertainties in the available information and as with seasonal flu vaccines, a slightly elevated risk of GBS following H1N1 vaccines cannot be ruled out. Epidemiological studies are ongoing to further assess this possible association."
Despite prominent professors and organizations proclaiming the H1N1 was unsafe for use, The Department of Health was quick to defend the shot: "Appropriate trials to assess safety and immune responses have been carried out on vaccines very similar to the swine
flu vaccine. The vaccines have been shown to have a good safety profile."
Government Admits Link to Guillain-Barre Syndrome
The Department of Health would soon be biting its tongue, as The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) prepared to release vital information regarding the shot. In 2010, in the month of October, the MHRA issued a statement that would confirm what the alternative media had been reporting for months -- the H1N1 vaccine can lead to a deadly autoimmune disease.
Unfortunately by this point countless people have been injected with the H1N1 vaccination. On the flip side, however, 60% of the public surveyed were either not going to get the shot in 2010, or were unsure. A study from Consumer Reports found that 30% of respondents were unsure if they were going to receive the 2010 flu vaccine, and an additional 30% said they were definitely not receiving the shot. This means, assuming the poll was conducted properly to reflect the entire population, around 60% of the population is questioning the effectiveness of the season flu vaccine.
In the UK, among the
swine flu pandemic that began late 2010 and into early 2011, the preventative abilities of the vaccine came into question. Despite the fact that 70% of the over-65 population was vaccinated against the swine flu in 2009, and 68.5% in 2010, the virus was voraciously spreading throughout the population of Britain. One such elderly woman received the swine flu vaccination in 2010, only to die from the swine flu months later. Eleanor Carruthers was a 68-year-old grandmother who lived in the UK. Eleanor received the swine flu vaccine under the impression that it would protect her from the flu, which is what her daughter Carole thought as well.
Carol was unsure how her mother had died after being vaccinated against the flu: "'What we don't understand is that mum had the vaccine in October, because she was in an at risk group. "
Eleanor was one of the many elderly UK citizens who had been vaccinated against the flu, raising the question as to what percentage of other swine flu victims had received the flu shot before the UK swine flu pandemic. This information has never been released, though various influenza strains have killed over 100 people in the UK over the last four months. With the extreme reactions that go along with the swine flu vaccine, one would assume that there would at least be guaranteed immunity. This is simply not true, however, as unfortunate cases such as the tragic death of Eleanor Carruthers have shown.
With all of the evidence piling up, the question is simple: why would anyone receive the flu vaccine? Quite simply, the answer is fear. The swine flu 'pandemic' scare led to an initial panic, and vaccines were rushed out to the general public in a hasty act of medical irresponsibility. In reality, vitamin D is 800% more effective at preventing the flu than vaccinations. It is important to always do your research before receiving any vaccination or drug of any kind.
