Tizami was created to finally bridge the gap of makeup lines that currently don't address the wide array of different skin tone representing the diverse women of color throughout the world. After 18 years of unsuccessful matching of foundation as well as the too many scary makeovers, together these issues confirmed the need to provide a product that would end this nerve wrecking cycle for women.

Along with natural humectants, cucumber extract and the protective healing properties of vitamin e, Tizami products not only make clients look great, but also aid against the damaging effects of the environment by hydrating and helping to heal their skin. Included within the products are those that cater especially to the woman with oily problematic skin. Both foundations and moisturizers are non-comedogenic (won't clog pores). Traditional lines have attempted to target women of color by adding darker shades to existing lines. The true number of shades available for those with light to very dark complexions however, still weren't being addressed. The need for matching undertones was painfully evident.

Not only is Tizami catering to a large diverse group of urban women of color who have long been ignored but they're also providing the accessibility traditional lines lack. Many of these lines are available in department stores in the suburbs, however a great percent of our clients are geographically concentrated in urban centers. Their website provides 24 hours, 7 days a week access at the clients fingertips. Tizami personnel understand their clients since they are clients. They know them personally since they're friends, family, neighbors, co-workers. They are the company's market researchers, critics and advisors. Informing the decision makers of what is wanted in a makeup line while Tizami in turn sets out to meet these needs.

Through this virtual osmosis, Tizami plans to be the makeup line to reflect their diversity, cultures and skin complexions. Their goal is to revolutionize the beauty ideal while providing the proper cosmetics at an affordable price for all women of color. If they can finally end a woman's search for cosmetics that match and compliment their various skin tones, while at the same time making them feel comfortable in the makeup they wear, then Tizami has truly made a difference and in the process, empowered women of color.
