A recent Gallup reports indicates that slightly more than 10% of Americans lack health insurance, whether private health plans, Medicare, or Medicaid. Younger people are the most likely to lack insurance, while older people were extremely unlikely to be uncovered. Black and white Americans had similar rates of insurance coverage, as did men and women, although there were variations in the source of the coverage.
