The results are in: high-dose chemotherapy has been proven no better than low-dose chemotherapy in treating breast cancer tumors. Published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, this study shows that poisoning the patient's immune system with extremely toxic chemicals is not an effective way to save their lives. Go figure...

Of course, this revelation doesn't mean high-dose chemotherapy won't continue to be pushed onto cancer patients by their oncologists. High-dose chemotherapy sells more drugs, making it far more profitable to the pharmaceutical companies than low-dose treatments.
