From daycare porn to KILLING for profit, there's a war on children in America

(NaturalNews) A case in Texas involving a former daycare worker who stands accused of producing pornography involving children has highlighted the hubris and hypocrisy regarding how children – born and unborn – are treated and protected in today's post-constitutional America.
According to federal officials, a former employee of the Coastal Bend Child Care Facility, Christina Cortez, 38, has been charged with producing the disturbing videos and then distributing them to a fugitive sex offender, 29-year-old Matthew Harbin. She was taken into custody after authorities found sickening and disturbing images of at least one child being sexually abused in her possession, a criminal complaint noted.
The New York Daily News reports that Harbin was living in Brownsville under a false name at the time that he allegedly received the photos from Cortez. Authorities say he is wanted for similar crimes and convictions in Alabama.
After receiving the photos, Harbin then sent them to an undercover officer in England in the hope that he would be able to trade them for others, the complaint noted.

Harbin asked the undercover officer in emails sent in January with a Yahoo! user address of "dirtysickmind" if they had a daughter, as well as what ages they were "in to."
According to the criminal complaint, Harbin first sent three photos of a child who was clothed that were not sexual in nature. Then he sent five additional pictures showing the same girl being fondled and also "positioned in an erotic way," the Daily News reported. Other recovered photos depicted the child presumably instructed to fondle herself.
Authorities say that Cortez, depicted as a mother on her Facebook page, sent Harbin images as long ago as July 2014. In online conversations, the pair allegedly expressed a shared attraction to kids, with Cortez telling Harbin at one point, "I would love to watch us with her. 2 & half."
The two face 15 to 30 years in federal prison if convicted of the pornography production charges; distributing charges carry an additional five to 20 years.
For the record, such child exploitation is not viewed favorably by prison inmates, meaning that, if the two are convicted – which seems likely – they are going to have a whole new set of problems to deal with once inside. That is as it should be; this kind of treatment of children is an abomination.
However, many other Americans concerned with the country's moral direction – or, more specifically, its rising lack of morality – say that our country's treatment of unborn children is every bit as abominable.
What's wrong with equal protection at all stages of development?
While Cortez is being prosecuted (and rightly so) for taking pictures of children that are wholly inappropriate and highly illegal, if she had been working in a Planned Parenthood facility, she would have been praised in many circles for "harvesting" the organs of aborted babies and dismantling them in the process. The same is true for Harbin.
Therein lies the troubling dichotomy of our society's warped ethics when it comes to the treatment of children. If children have been born – a "decision" that we leave up to the woman only, despite the fact that fertilization requires male participation (unless its artificial insemination, in which case the woman wants to be pregnant) – only then do we protect their rights. However, this doesn't kick in until the moment they are born, despite the fact that, throughout development, the "fetus" can only mature into a human being and nothing else.
"Like toddler and adolescent, the terms 'embryo' and 'fetus' do not refer to nonhumans but to humans at particular stages of development. Human beings inside the womb are smaller, less developed, and more dependent than human beings outside the womb. These are differences of degree, not differences of kind," says AbortionFacts.com, an informational site. "The lives of newborn children are protected by law. The lives of embryos and fetuses are not, at least when the context is abortion."
At this stage, it isn't clear when, if ever, our moral compass concerning our children at all stages of development will be protected equally and universally. Until that happens, we are doing them an injustice.
The criminals who ruined the children's lives at the daycare were caught, but many will get away with ending unborn children's lives at abortion facilities across the U.S.
