Everything is propaganda: NASA withheld scientific confirmation of water on Mars to coincide with Hollywood movie release

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) If you're a movie producer who's got a nation's entire space program behind you, how can you go wrong?

That seems to be exactly the case for Ridley Scott, the producer of the new Hollywood film, The Martian, starring Matt Damon.

As reported by Breitbart News, it appears that officials at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) knew months ago that water flowed at one time over the surface of Mars, but they chose to tie the announcement to the release of Scott's film.

Talk about something you can tell your kids and grandkids.

As further noted by the UK's Guardian:

On one level, The Martian may be functioning as a giant advertisement for Nasa, but the close collaboration between the space agency and Ridley Scott's film-making team has resulted in the director remaining blase about the dramatic announcement of evidence of flowing water on Mars. "I knew that months ago," he said in response to the news.

According to a report in the New York Times, Scott said he had seen the photographs of water flows "about two months ago" – meaning that it was too late to incorporate the revelation into the film's narrative.

Proven collusion

There you have it: NASA had proof months ago of what it waited until the week of movie's release to inform the world.

"With advertising and promotion, 20th Century Fox easily has more than $175 million invested in 'The Martian,' a non-franchise, non-branded film starring the left-wing Matt Damon, an actor whose box office track of late is more than a bit wobbly," noted Breitbart media writer John Nolte.

"Sadly, learning that our government withheld news in order to benefit their political pals, is no longer shocking in The Age of Obama."

Unfortunately for the country, it is even less shocking that the nation's legacy and left-wing media establishment is not concerned with this kind of official cronyism. Perhaps this is yet another prime reason that trust in the mainstream media is at an all-time low (again).

With this kind of cronyism between the media, Hollywood, and NASA, is it any wonder that there are conspiracy theories challenging NASA's claims that the space agency actually landed men on the moon in the late 1960s? In all actuality, you can't blame anyone for questioning anything the agency says now, given its collusion with a left-wing Hollywood actor and filmmaker.

You knew the global warming/climate change angle was somewhere in all of this

Of course, NASA itself is feeding into doubts by claims its scientists are making about climate change. This is about a planet we are only now getting familiar with.

As reported by US News & World Report:

Eons ago, ancient Mars had "an extensive atmosphere," along with "an ocean two-thirds the size of the northern hemisphere and a mile deep," said Jim Green, director of planetary science at NASA said during a press conference... After an unknown catastrophe, "Mars suffered a major climate change and lost its surface water," Green explained.

We thought that climate change was caused by men and women, primarily in the United States, driving SUVs and having barbeques, while former vice presidents jetted around the globe to tell others not to jet around the globe because doing so destroys the planet.

If that's true, how did radical Man-caused climate change occur if there are no men, women, factories, SUVs, BBQ pits, or jet-setting vice presidents on Mars?

It is a mystery that we must solve. Otherwise, there will be no more collusion between Hollywood film producers and an "unbiased" space agency that, just like the media, more Americans are having a hard time believing.
