Planned Parenthood says JOURNALISM is 'extremism' and killing babies is 'healthcare'

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) One way the progressive Left in America has managed to change our culture in such dramatic ways, even though they are in the minority among the electorate, is by changing the language and controlling narratives.

For example, dissent against any of President Obama's policies is no longer simple political discourse, it is "racism" and "bigotry." If you don't support gay marriage due to your religious beliefs, that is not "religious freedom"; it's "homophobia." If you speak out against illegal immigration, you're branded a "nativist" and "hater." And so on.

The reaction of Planned Parenthood to a series of videos that have exposed the organization's sale of aborted baby body parts has the progressive Left in a tailspin, for PP is one of its protected organizations. Liberal politicians, pundits and academics, as well as the organization's leaders, are going all-out to deflect attention away from the ghoulish nature of harvesting body parts from the unborn by redefining the language and thus changing the narrative and debate.

In a recent op-ed in The Washington Post, PP President Cecile Richards, who has defended the organization's indefensible actions in the past, called the journalists who produced the videos following an extensive undercover investigation "extremists" who were merely "attacking" Planned Parenthood.

Richards calls what PP does "compassionate" and "nonjudgmental," even while the organization engages in behavior reminiscent of the barbaric Nazi Dr. Josef Mengele, who conducted horrific mutilating "scientific experiments" on concentration camp prisoners.

Comply or suffer the consequences

She claims that the "attacks" by undercover journalists working with the Center for Medical Progress, the group that is exposing PP, are not about exposing federal criminal wrongdoing but "about the ability of women across the country to access health care" (the "war on women" lie). And she tries to label the actions of the investigative journalists as "a new low," not the actions of the officials within her own organization.

Meanwhile, progressive Left politicians like Democrat presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton have routinely supported Planned Parenthood. In recent days, the sheer vulgarity and barbaric nature of the videos have led even Clinton to proclaim them "disturbing," but she nevertheless went on to praise the group. And in the past, she even took time off from her busy schedule as Secretary of State to deliver a keynote address at a Planned Parenthood gala.

But the progressive Left's disdain for journalists runs deeper, which is odd given that most mainstream newspapers like the Post, The New York Times and the L.A. Times are extremely liberal.

In 2013, a report compiled by senior Washington journalists concluded that the Obama Administration is unprecedented in its crackdown of journalists over leaks and other efforts to control information – leaks that come from government sources, be they Congress or the administration, not the press that reports them. And this, despite Obama's onetime pledge to have the most transparent administration ever.

Speaking of using words to change the narrative, even the Defense Department, under Obama, has mislabeled journalists. In recent changes to the Pentagon's massive manual on the rules of war, some journalists can be considered "unprivileged belligerents," which essentially means that they can be labeled as enemies without any rights.

Using our own language against us

In recent days, former Allied Supreme Commander U.S. Army Gen. Wesley Clark, a former Democrat presidential contender, called for putting "radicalized" Americans – and you could assume this may include a large number journalists, as well as supporters of the Constitution and limited government – into World War II-style internment camps.

Couching his comments in combating Muslim extremism, Clark said: "If these people are radicalized and they don't support the United States and they are disloyal to the United States as a matter of principle, fine. It's their right and it's our right and obligation to segregate them from the normal community for the duration of the conflict."

But exactly who is deemed "radicalized" would, of course, depend upon who was making the determination – and that would be someone in government. That could include people who simply spoke out in disagreement with the internment policy, citing constitutional protections.

If investigative journalists exposing criminal wrongdoing and morally depraved butchery can be labeled "extremists" by progressive Leftists, while the act of morally depraved butchery goes unpunished, there really are few protections for American citizens anymore.

The Left has long understood this, and that's why progressives use our own language against anyone who opposes them.
