169,000 criminal aliens deliberately released into the U.S. population by Obama administration

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) The Obama administration has overseen the greatest influx of illegal aliens into the country in decades and more are on the way, according to analysts who monitor U.S. border activity.

But even more than that, they say, the administration has been extremely lax with criminal aliens, ensuring that tens of thousands of them made their way into American society, even as debate surrounding their release – and the crimes they continue to commit – have become part of the 2016 presidential contest.

According to Department of Homeland Security data obtained recently via a Freedom of Information Act request by Judicial Watch, a legal watchdog organization, almost 166,000 convicted criminal aliens were released by DHS' immigration authorities as of April 2014.

JW's analysis of DHS documents found that among those criminal aliens released were rapists, murderers and kidnappers, Breitbart News reported, citing the organization's findings.

As noted in JW's report:

The ICE documents confirm a May 2014 Center Immigration Studies (CIS) report showing that in 2013 ICE freed 36,007 convicted criminal aliens, who had nearly 88,000 convictions, including 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, and 303 kidnapping convictions.

'Where do the innocent go for justice?'

In addition to some of the worst crimes, many of the criminal aliens who have been released committed other violent crimes such as sexual assault, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

Also, the 76-odd documents also revealed how difficult it has been for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to deal with so-called "sanctuary cities" – communities whose elected officials have opted to defy federal immigration laws by instructing their police departments to ignore requests from ICE and other immigration officials to detain criminal aliens.

One example cited was the case of an illegal alien jailed for rape in Montgomery County, Maryland.

"ERO (Enforcement and Removal Operations) officers were also denied access to interview the alien at police station last Friday due to Montgomery County prohibitions against immigration enforcement," a May 2014 email said (see it here).

Besides the more than 165,000 criminal aliens ordered to leave the country, nearly 707,000 non-criminal illegal migrants were also ordered out of the country. However, after being released, Judicial Watch says, the nearly 873,000 aliens ordered out by federal courts refused to self-deport.

"It's appalling that we've had to sue in federal court to get key information about the Obama administration's release of 165,950 convicted criminal aliens," said JW President Tom Fitton, in a statement at the report's release.

"These documents show the Obama administration is lying when it says that its 'enforcement priorities' include deporting illegal aliens who have committed heinous crimes," he continued. "And lawless localities that help protect illegal alien rapists and other criminals show that politicians at all levels put politics above the rule of law and the public safety."

"Where do the innocent victims of the illegal alien criminals this president's appointees have set free go for justice?"

More on the way

The report comes amid furor over the shooting death by a criminal alien of Kate Steinle, 32, in San Francisco, one of the country's more than 270 sanctuary cities. The suspect, 45-year-old Francisco Sanchez, had been in custody as late as March but was released under the city's sanctuary policies. Also, San Francisco authorities ignored a request by ICE to keep him detained.

But the carnage is only likely to get worse. In a separate report, Breitbart News, citing U.S. Census Bureau data, noted that the federal agency forecasted that 1.24 million more immigrants would enter the United States this year.

The bureau published the data in its International Data Base, which contains information about world population assessments to 2050. Between 2015 and 2025, Census estimates that about 14 million immigrants will come to the U.S.
