Former Pfizer VP comes clean about drug industry crimes in powerful documentary

by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer

(NaturalNews) Everybody knows that pharmaceutical dollars are what keep the "science" machine spinning, or at least that's what former Pfizer Vice President Dr. Peter Rost, M.D., contends in the powerful documentary film One More Girl, which blows the lid on one of the world's biggest vaccine scams.

Author of the book The Whistleblower, Confessions of a Healthcare Hitman, Dr. Rost makes the case that universities, health organizations, and other research groups are constantly begging for money in order to keep their operations running. And their biggest donors are drug and vaccine companies, which buy the research results they need to promote their products throughout the health care system.

The multinational drug cartels, including those for whom Dr. Rost used to work, routinely award grants to academic institutions and research labs, knowing that these entities will produce favorable "science" in order to keep the cash flowing. It's an organized racket that keeps pharmaceuticals and vaccines at the forefront of medicine, even when safer, natural alternatives exist.

"The way it's done is, number one, you give these organizations and institutions grants for various kinds of research," claims Dr. Rost in the following video clip posted to YouTube:

"You develop research together with them, you establish friends, you make sure that they become beholden to you, and you also pay individual professors and doctors and researchers directly. You may pay them as speakers to travel around the country, $1,000 to $2,000 per day. You give them money for educational programs where they can make a profit, and then they put on these programs."

Big Pharma spends billions manufacturing fake science in favor of deadly drugs and vaccines

The myth surrounding all this flow of cash and procurement of scientific research is that the results are somehow independent, and thus trustworthy. In truth, much of what passes as science today is really nothing more than corporate marketing for the highest drug industry bidders.

"If you have a promotional budget at the corporation, they're probably going to give that money to the universities that do the programs that most support your drug," says Dr. Rost. "And the ones that don't, who are critical in any way, shape, or form, they're not going to get anything. And everybody obviously knows that this is how things work."

"Even if you can officially claim, 'well, this is arm's length, we didn't have anything to do with it, we just gave them a grant, they can do anything they want with it,' reality is, they're not going to continue to get money unless they're saying what you want them to say. They know it, you know it, it's only maybe the public that doesn't know it. And that's how you influence the medical establishment, simply with money."

Journal editors admit that much published science is "untrue"

A large percentage of what's published in the scientific literature these days reflects this industry bias. Former editor-in-chief of the esteemed New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), Dr. Marcia Angell, published a paper in 2010 highlighting the fact that, over her more than two decades of service at the journal, she's now convinced that "much" of the published clinical research simply can't be trusted as valid.

Dr. Richard Horton, the current editor-in-chief of the British Lancet journal believes similarly, having stated that up to half of all published science is simply "untrue," and that science as a whole has "taken a turn towards darkness."

"There is increasing concern that most current published research findings are false," added Dr. John P.A. Ioannidis, a professor of disease prevention at Stanford University, in a PLoS One paper entitled Why Most Published Research Findings Are False.

According to Dr. Ioannidis, research findings are less likely to be true when study samples sizes are too small, when effect sizes are even smaller, and when there are major variances in study designs, definitions, outcomes, and analytical modes. He also points out disparities from "greater financial and other interest and prejudice," referring to the type of drug industry influence of which Dr. Rost speaks.

Ultimately, all this bad science ends up landing on the desks of doctors and other medical practitioners who, believing it to be true, incorporate it into their clinical practices. Little do many of them know that they're being presented with corporate propaganda, with the pharmaceutical drug lords pulling the purse strings behind the scenes.

"It is frightening how many similarities there are between the industry and the mafia," Dr. Rost once wrote. "The only difference is that all those people in the pharmaceutical industry see themselves as decent citizens."
