Old-school smoking on the decline as more people pick up e-cigarettes

by S. D. Wells

(NaturalNews) In the New York Times on April 17th, Sabrina Tavernise wrote a piece about teenagers picking up e-cigarettes (electronic cigarettes) and speaking of them as something they consider "edgy and exciting." One teenager interviewed said he liked the "smoke tricks" his friends do well, like vaping (exhaling) a tornado shape. The teen also spoke about enjoying menthol and berry flavorings. Though he has not smoked cigarettes, one cannot say e-cigarettes are a gateway drug, because it seems to be working in just the other direction for millions of Americans - meaning smokers are coming off cigarettes thanks to e-cigs.

So now consider this: Could e-cigarettes be discouraging teenagers from smoking cigarettes? What if there's no nicotine in the cartridge? Hey, anything that reduces the number of "old-school" smokers is reducing health catastrophe across the board, so why the fuss about FDA and CDC control? It was the AMA, the American Medical Association, that led us to believe cigarettes were good for us in the first place. Need we look at the advertisements that featured doctors holding up cancer sticks and endorsing their "favorite brand?" After all, "More doctors smoke camels than any other cigarette!" - right? Let's use common sense here. Even the teenagers who smoked cigarettes are switching to electronic/vapor. Why? They know how quickly commercial cigarettes wreck your physical health and your endurance (lung capacity). They feel it happen while attempting to play sports at the same level they did before the cigarette habit - and the difference is drastic. Most smokers who begin recreational activity quit playing early on and go for a smoke.

E-cigs steal major market share from big tobacco

In a CDC tobacco survey taken from 20,000 school kids, e-cigs scored better market share than traditional cigarettes. Remember now, e-cigarettes are not regulated like tobacco products because they don't contain tobacco, normally. You can buy e-cigs on line anywhere in the world or at a kiosk at the local US mall. But Big Tobacco is going to try to make people believe that this is a gateway drug, since blowing puffs of smoke or "vape" looks like someone might have just exhaled from a cigarette. But that's ALL they have in common. See, there is the reverse psychology at work here. In actuality, it is a relief to know a teenager knows the difference between some mint or cola flavored vapor and 7,000 pesticide chemicals mixed with ammonia, bleach, plastic and fiberglass. It's the CDC and the FDA that allow so many (insanely) toxic chemicals to be "brewed" into cigarettes. Hey, just because people know they're bad for health doesn't mean the government regulatory agencies just open the door completely for insidious cigarette manufacturers to freebase nicotine with ammonia to make it 50 times stronger and reach the brain and heart in THREE SECONDS. This is the CDC of the USA that allows this, and they want to blast e-cigarettes and "warn" of all the dangers. Give us a break.

Let's ban cigarettes!

Guess what? Cigarette use among teenagers dropped during the 2013 - 2014 year! And at the fastest pace in years, despite dark predictions by Big Tobacco. So much for that "gateway" drug lecture. Might have to adjust that "DARE" program at the elementary school. Tell the kids that doctors can't recommend cigarettes anymore. This is a new culture of pre-teen and teenage living, and they don't want CANCER STICKS anymore. Let them figure out the rest.

Finally, if the FDA and CDC decide they should ban e-cigarettes, they might want to first label GMO food, take mercury out of vaccines and get toxic fluoride out of tap water. Oh, and change the school lunches to 100 percent organic while you're at it. Entire countries would experience a wave of good health that could span the decades. By the way, there's a natural way to quit smoking in 14 days or LESS. Check out the organic method called "14AndOut" that the Health Ranger recommends.

Smoking is on the decline, and the great escape from nicotine is here, so let's all celebrate! This has been a public service message.
