Alex Jones (the BBC news babe) takes cod liver oil daily to look fit, slim and beautiful

(NaturalNews) British talk show host and bombshell babe Alex Jones -- yes, she just so happens to share the same name as a certain popular icon in the alternative media -- recently spoke out about how she's able to stay slim, healthy and beautiful without having to adhere to any sort of special diet: she takes cod liver oil every day.

Host of the BBC One feature The One Show, Jones maintains an incredible figure at 38 years young by exercising every day, dancing, and taking cod liver oil, a popular dietary supplement rich in omega-3 fatty acids and other important nutrients. She added that she still gets away with eating "vice" foods like wine, chocolate, and cookies.

"My grandfather always said that if there was one thing you should take every day, it's cod liver oil," divulged Jones during a recent interview with the Daily Mail Online's Brian Claridge. "It contains lots of essential vitamins including omega-3, which is beneficial for your heart."

The popular television personality, who admits that she hates working out at the gym -- "I ... would rather be in the fresh air," she told the U.K. media giant -- also says she doesn't believe in diets. People should aim to eat healthy foods, she says, but "it's far better to eat healthily and have what's good for you than worry about diets."

This is sound advice coming from someone who looks as good as Jones does and who practices what she preaches. Jones' healthy diet consists of fruits and vegetables, salads, and fresh smoothies made without refined sugar. She also takes other daily vitamins including vitamin C, which she admits is good for the immune system.

"I've not had to have a day off from The One Show in four-and-a-half years, except one day when I lost my voice," Jones contends, maintaining that her healthy habits of exercising, eating well, taking basic vitamins daily, and sleeping roughly eight hours a night are all responsible for keeping her in tip-top shape.

"I aim for eight hours' sleep each night and once a month I like a long lie-in till 10:30 a.m.," she told the Daily Mail Online.

The fact that both a television personality with the body of a supermodel and a truth purveyor with a much different body type share the same name and beliefs about cod liver oil is quite the unusual coincidence.
