'The Quest for the Cures Continues' - Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, MD

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) Tremendous success this past spring of the Internet-streamed docu-series The Quest for the Cure has led organizers of that event to create and host a brand-new docu-series that will feature more experts discussing a range of natural cures for cancer.

The pre-launch of the new series begins September 29 and runs through October 12. The actual docu-series will stream on the Internet from Oct. 13 through Oct. 24.

One of the featured experts will be Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, M.D., who operates the world-renowned Burzynski Clinic, located in Houston, Texas. Dr. Burzynski's cancer research and care is inspired by the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates, who advised practitioners to "first, do no harm," when it came to treating patients.

"True to this philosophy, our approach to treatments are based on the natural biochemical defense system of our body, capable of combating cancer with minimal impact on healthy cells," Burzynski explains on his clinic website.

"In everything we do, we are proudly committed to these values and to continue cancer research. Our mission is to beat cancer," the site says.

Dr. Burzynkski and his team of physicians shun a sort of "one-size-fits-all" approach to cancer treatment. Rather, they believe that each patient requires a treatment plan suited uniquely to them. As such, clinic physicians, led by Burzynski, design treatments "around the patient's specific needs, using selected medications," says the site.

Dr. Burzynkski is an internationally recognized physician and biochemist-researcher who pioneered the development and use of biologically active peptides in diagnosing, preventing and treating cancer, which he has done since 1967.

He graduated in 1967 as first in his class of 250 from the Medical University of Lublin, Poland, at the age of 24. It was during that year that he identified naturally occurring peptides in the human body, which he concluded control the growth of cancer. During his research, he discovered that there is a marked deficiency of these peptides in cancer patients

Burzynski founded his clinic 10 years later and has treated more than 8,000 patients since. He has collaborated with researchers at the National Cancer Institute, the Medical College of Georgia, the Imperial College of Science and Technology of London, the University of Kurume Medical School in Japan, the University of Turin Medical School in Italy and others.
