Cleansing for a healthy pregnancy

by Alexandra Du Toit, Earth Mama

(NaturalNews) Pregnancy is the most important time in a woman's life. The state of a woman's body has direct relation to her ability to conceive as well as on the health of her growing baby. A woman's choice prior to getting pregnant has lasting effects on the health and development of the baby. Preparing the body for conception and pregnancy might be one of the most important ways a woman can get ready for the new life to grow in the healthiest environment possible.

Cleansing the body with healthy foods, herbs, and detox techniques can help to clear out the vast number of harmful toxins that invade the body through the air we breathe, the food we eat, the water we drink, plastic products and antibiotics. By cleansing out the body, the chances of having a successful conception and healthy pregnancy are very probable while an entire healthy lifestyle can be adapted.

Exposure to chemicals

Growing research reveals that the womb is not the safe haven it once was. If a mother is exposed to even minute amounts of hazardous chemicals, the toxins will be passed along to the baby. There are more than 80,000 chemicals in use in the United States which have been shown to cause allergies, asthma, birth defects, chronic disease, psychological problems and emotional issues. A study from a team of scientists at the Harvard School of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) examined how many chemicals crossed the placenta to the fetus. Their research found that out of 15 mother and child pairs, they measured 87 chemicals found in both mother and child. While in the womb, the children absorbed the chemicals.

Toxic mothers have toxic babies

Toxic mothers have toxic babies who are more likely to have allergies and other developmental and behavioral problems. Researchers from the CDC measured the BPA levels in the urine of 244 mothers during pregnancy as well as in their children at various times after birth. BPA is a component in some plastics and can be found in store receipts, plastic containers, food cans, and much more. When the children reached the age of three, the children were looked at to detect behavioral issues and emotional problems. Researchers found that the mothers that had high BPA levels in their urine during pregnancy tended to have children with depressed and anxious behavior and poorer emotional control.

Cleansing at healthy egg cells

Internal cleansing helps provide a healthy environment for a growing embryo. In fact, several studies have made a connection between cleansing and the number of egg cells available for reproduction as well as the overall health of the eggs. In the Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, one study published examined the effects of toxic metals such as mercury, aluminum and lead on fertility and found that "reduction of an increased heavy metal body load improved the spontaneous conception chances of infertile women." This is the reason that many targeted cleansing approaches focus on drawing out toxic metals from deep within the cells and tissues then removing them from the body. With all of the years of accumulated toxins that get stored in the fat tissues in the body, a cleanse helps to filter out toxins from the liver and uterus helping the organs to work at their optimum potential for a successful conception.

Women trying to get pregnant or who have tried without success, might want to consider a cleansing program. An internal cleansing of the potentially damaging toxins in her body will help ensure the womb to be a clean environment, giving the baby the best start possible.
