Put a stop to your cold and boost your immune system once more!

by Yanjun

(NaturalNews) Colds are not attractive in the slightest. When it comes to determining who gets affected the most by the common cold, a person's gender plays a big part. But as time passes on, the gender factor will disappear. When a person is younger, he or she has many naive cells inside of them. These naive cells are adequate for prevention of illness. They combat the germs faster and stronger. But as we get older, those cells die down. That makes it that much harder to fight off the germs and bacteria.

It turns out that a person's everyday habits can eat away at the immune system too. Some individuals are aware of this, and they take steps to prevent the situation. Others are not so aware of these factors. For those that are unaware, let's take a look at what factors impact a person's immune system. Let's also look at how these factors can cause the common cold to hang on too long.

Don't put off the workout

Many times, the cold weather will make a person turn in their sneakers and not do a workout. This is not a good move to make. A person that keeps up with exercise at least four, if not five, times a week has a greater chance of not becoming sick. Doctors have rationalized that there is at least a 43% chance of a man or woman not becoming sick if he or she continues with their workouts. Do at least two and a half hours of moderate workouts a week. Doing anything more intense will place the body more at risk.

Don't let stress at work control you

Biochemical changes occur in the body when stress becomes the deciding factor in one's life. To keep down stress, go out to lunch and invite a co-worker. Take a break and go for a walk. Do something that will get the body outside.

Vitamin D is essential

About 77% of Americans are vitamin D deficient. And among these statistics, about 24-36% are more likely to develop colds because of it. Gravitate to foods such as fish, yogurts and other probiotics.

Wear something sexy to bed

Those who have sex at least once to twice a week, if not more, stand a far lesser chance of catching a cold. So take off those flannel pajamas and other sleepwear and put on something sexy and provocative. By getting him or her in the mood, the immune system will become stronger

Don't stay in or eat comfort food all winter long

The only comfort food that should be around are fruits and vegetables. Eat more leafy green vegetables and stay away from the pizza. Also, go out with friends. Those who travel out during the winter times are actually much healthier than those who don't.
