Feeding sugar to babies before vaccinations reduces crying, say quacks

by Michael Ravensthorpe

(NaturalNews) Administering vaccinations to babies is often a source of never-ending frustration for the common quack. Babies dislike having their skin pierced with metal needles, it seems, and their ensuing screaming and thrashing often hinder the procedure. This insolent non-compliance to Big Pharma's will has prompted several medical researchers to seek out ways to pacify babies before the painful jab. Their latest stroke of genius? Feeding them solutions comprised mostly of sugar - one of the most toxic substances we can put in our bodies.

Sugar before vaccines: Poison before poison

According to a Cochrane Review of 14 studies pertaining to the pain-killing qualities of sugar, babies that are fed sugar solutions prior to receiving an injection cry less than those that drink water. Most of the studies reviewed, including the well-known 2010 study for The Lancet that assessed the use of oral sucrose as analgesic drug for pain in infants, used the infants' length of crying as a measure of pain. However, some studies - such as those that gave infants sugar-coated pacifiers throughout the vaccination procedure - chose to monitor their facial reactions.

"Giving babies something sweet to taste before injections may stop them from crying for as long," concluded Dr. Manal Kassab, the review's lead researcher. "Although we can't confidently say that sugary solutions reduce needle pain, these results do look promising."

Despite the Cochrane Review's conclusion, feeding infants sugar solutions before vaccinating them is not yet a routine practice among allopaths.

"Generally, doctors recommend that the mother holds the baby and comforts it while they have their immunization. If she is breastfeeding still, she might want to breastfeed her baby at the same time," said Dr. David Elliman, a researcher at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. "With older children we try to distract them. If you do the usual holding and comforting, I'm not sure how much sucrose would add."

It is now common for a child to have experienced at least 10 different injections by its second birthday, including immunizations for mumps, measles, and rubella. Such jabs have been linked to innumerable health conditions, including RSV, MMF, and autism.
