'Gun owners against illegal mayors' website exposes the total criminality of mayors across the USA

by J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) A recent survey by the Pew Center for the People and the Press found that most Americans are much more satisfied with their state and local governments than they are with the federal government.

According to the survey, the results of which you can view here, 57 percent of respondents said they held a "favorable" view of state government compared to just 28 percent for Washington, D.C.

What's more telling is this statistic: more than six in 10 - 63 percent - hold a favorable opinion of local government, though clearly there is a constitutional and corruption crisis occurring locally that often is unmatched on the federal level, according to a group seeking to draw attention to misconduct by local officials.

The group, Gun Owners Against Illegal Mayors, says it "represents Americans united to fight the Bloomberg Gang, a band of organized criminal politicians. Originating in New York City, the Gang has recruited criminal mayors across the United States."

Members of the "gang" have been convicted of a wide range of crimes, including assaulting officers and constituents, corruption, extortion, theft, obstruction of justice, bribery, perjury, tax evasion, child porn, battery, and child molestation.

"They have attacked constituents and police officers, destroyed houses with sledge hammers, and even stolen gift cards donated for the poor. No crime is beneath them and no enormity beyond them," the site explains.

New York City Mayor Michael "Nanny" Bloomberg, as you might have ascertained, is singled out for particular scorn, but given the group's name, it's easy to see why; Bloomberg, you probably know, is head of a national effort to get more mayors to sign off on new, unconstitutional gun control laws [http://www.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org/html/home/demandaplan.html]

"Mayor Bloomberg should be more interested in the conduct of MAIG members than trying to pry into the personal lives of gun owners or soda drinkers," the executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation, Alan Gottlieb, said in a statement. "If anybody needs a background check, it would be a MAIG member."

The group has documented that the following mayors who have been convicted of criminal activity are all anti-Second Amendment:

Baltimore, MD - Mayor Sheila Dixon
Hartford, CT - Mayor Eddie Perez
Racine, WI - Mayor Gary Becker
East Haven, CT - Mayor April Capone Almon
Detroit, MI - Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick
Guttenberg, NJ - Mayor Delle Donna
Jackson, MS - Mayor Frank Melton
Passaic, NJ - Mayor Samuel Rivera
Austin, TX - Mayor Will Wynn
Jersey City, NJ - Mayor Jerremiah Healy
Birmingham, AL - Mayor Larry Langford
Inglewood, CA - Mayor Roosevelt F. Dorn
White Plains, NY - Mayor Adam Bradley
Port St. Lucie, FL - Mayor Patricia Christensen

Moreover, the list keeps growing.

"Three more names have been added to a veritable rogue's gallery of current or former members of Michael Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns who have run afoul of the law with [recent] criminal charges against Marcus Hook, Pa. Mayor James Schiliro," said the SAF statement.

"Mayor Schiliro is one more example of why we started the 'Gun Owners Against Illegal Mayors' campaign," said Gottlieb. "He joins recently-convicted former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, and recently-indicted former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, both of whom were MAIG members."

"Schiliro's case is not only bad, but bizarre," Gottlieb said. "He's been charged with false imprisonment, unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment, serving alcohol to a minor and other crimes, and he also allegedly used more than one gun in this incident, in which at least one shot was fired.

"With associates like this, I can understand why Bloomberg doesn't trust people with guns," he said.

"We call upon Americans to unite against these thugs, and to demand that the Department of Justice use its Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) powers to shut down 'Mayors Against Illegal Guns,'" says the Gun Owners Against Illegal Mayors site.
