Gouging out the all-seeing eye of the USDA's food pyramid

by Lance Johnson

(NaturalNews) Created by the United States Department of Agriculture in 1992, The Food Guide Pyramid was brought into America's classrooms and utilized as a doctrine. This misguided, one-size-fits-all approach to health took the drive away from children to find real answers and brainwashed them with messages that eventually spurred the epidemic of obesity and illness in America.

Obesity in America nearly triples

In 1962, roughly 13 percent of United States citizens were classified as obese. By year 2000, 30.5 percent were classified as obese. Ten years later, in 2010, the CDC reported that 35.7 percent of adults were obese including 17 percent of children. Why had American obesity nearly tripled from 1962 to 2010?

Although many factors contribute to this explosion of obesity, there is one important factor to discuss: education. What eating guidelines were being programmed into American's minds in the past 20 years that spurred this sudden onslaught of illness?

At first glance, The Food Guide Pyramid looks positive and helpful. When dissected and questioned, it seems loaded with misinformation, generalizations, and evil special interests. This type of governance and uniform education has proven itself to be an absolute failure.

6-11 servings of illness

Engrained in American's heads at a young age was the idea of consuming 6-11 servings of bread, cereal, rice, and pasta. A serving size with a large five-serving gap taught everyone that it's okay to eat more and then eat more on top of that. The government health masterminds could have encouraged more exercise in this category, especially since they were advocating everyone to eat up to 11 servings of corn syrup-flavored cereal or bleached white bread. How sickening.

Importance of alkaline-forming foods

In this important section of the pyramid, wouldn't it be more empowering to discuss the importance of eating alkaline-forming foods? A body with an alkaline balance repels disease and cancer. The government health gurus should have emphasized foods like onions and garlic, spinach and kale, broccoli and carrots, to name a few. Why eat 11 servings of processed sugary cereal when a delicacy of nature is all around?

Where are the seeds, roots, seaweeds, and berries?

As the pyramid continues upward, vegetables and fruits are generalized. There is no mention of the health benefits of seeds, roots, seaweeds, or berries - some of the most nutrient-rich foods found in nature. What about grape seeds, pumpkin seeds, and chia seeds? What about beet root, turmeric root, and ginger root? What about spirulina and kelp seaweeds? What about elderberries, blackberries, and gojji berries? Again, these are just a few, but there is no mention whatsoever of these food medicines in the USDA Food Guide Pyramid.

The craze for toxic milk

As the pyramid goes upward, the masses are instructed to consume two to three servings of milk. This is lunacy, considering conventional milk is void of nutrition, denatured through the process of homogenization, lacking the life-giving nutrients that are present in raw milk. It's injected with antibiotics and hormones, including the toxic, genetically modified recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH). Isn't it strange that this growth hormone was first used in 1993; one year after the food pyramid was created?

Gouge out the all-seeing eye

At last, at the top of the pyramid is the all -eeing eye. Included in the USDA's educational experience is the subliminal message that it's safe to drink colas, eat candy, and poison ourselves. Of course, in moderation, we're instructed, but this toxic category should have never been mentioned and should be gouged out of all healthy guidelines for living.

In conclusion, there should have never been mass government guidelines and education standards pumped into America. Although well intentioned, it's obvious the pyramid lacks any real research. Apparently one group of people cannot protect American's from themselves. There is no one size fit all approach to healthy living. American's and free people across the globe should question authority, research for themselves, and implement new ideas.

The cures for cancers exist.
