British doctor gives wrong vaccines to children for more than three years, hundreds of children now face health risk

by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer

(NaturalNews) Hundreds of parents living in the Barnsley area of the U.K. were shocked to learn recently that their young children had been improperly vaccinated with the wrong vaccines, some more than three years prior to being notified about the serious blunder. The U.K.'s Daily Mail reports that the unidentified doctor responsible for the mix-up administered the botched vaccines to at least 221 children, all of whom are now being offered "replacement" vaccines to supposedly make up for this monumental medical error.

Beginning in January 2009, the affected children were mistakenly given combination vaccines for diphtheria, whooping cough (pertussis), polio, tetanus, Haemophilus Influenzae Type b (Hib), and measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR), when they should have been given the jabs individually in accordance with proper medical procedure. According to national health guidelines, such vaccines are only safe and effective when given individually rather than in combination with one another, which means the children that received the massive combo vaccine have been put at serious health risk.

"You put your trust in a doctor to do things right. It is disgusting what has happened and in my eyes it shows incompetence," said Rebecca Hirst, 34, to the Daily Mail. Hirst's daughter, Poppi, was one of the 221 victims given the flawed vaccine. "It is a massive failure, if anything else. I'm going to complain to the General Medical Council (GMC)."

Many other parents expressed similar sentiments, questioning how such malpractice was able to persist for more than three years unnoticed. Only in April 2012 did the National Health Service (NHS) public health team in Barnsley finally learn of the issue, a full three years and four months after it first began at the clinic. And rather than be properly punished, the doctor responsible has reportedly been "reprimanded," and ordered to undergo extra training and to participate in a mentoring program.

"Action was taken immediately once this was identified to ensure no further vaccinations were given in this way," claimed Sharon Stoltz, head of the public health system in Barnsley. "The GP practice (responsible) is now giving immunizations in [accordance] with national guidance. We have worked quickly to investigate the issue and to identify those parents that needed to be informed."

Many other adults, children being jabbed with incorrect vaccines throughout UK

Back in 2011, it was also revealed by the group Medical Defense Union (MDU) that more than 100 patients, most of which were children, from other GP practices throughout the U.K. have been given incorrect vaccines as well. Children who came in for the meningitis vaccine, for instance, were given the MMR vaccine, according to reports, while many others under the age of 18 were illegally given vaccines without parental consent.

"In most of the cases, the child or adult had to be monitored for any ill-effects from the wrong vaccine, wrong dose, and so on," said Dawn Boyall from MDU at the time the issue came to light. "Obviously this will have caused some anxiety and inconvenience for the patients and parents concerned."

And rightly so, considering all vaccines come with varying degrees and configurations of potentially deadly side effects, which include neurological damage, behavioral disorders, autoimmune diseases, and of course, death. Parents who choose to vaccinate their children, in other words, need to be extremely cautious when taking them in for routine vaccinations, as apparently not all doctors are fully aware of what they are jabbing into your children.
