Food handler courses target raw milk

by Manda Lynn

(NaturalNews) As if raw milk wasn't being targeted enough; upon receiving a Food Handlers Card you will be "taught" how horrendous raw milk products are for your health and how it is supposedly making people sick across the country.

It is of course typical for the FDA to leave out statistics saying otherwise and this just goes to show how low the government is stooping when it comes to scratching healthy alternatives off peoples' list of choices.

The FDA goes on to state how between 1993 and 2006, more than 1,500 people in the United States became sick from drinking raw milk or eating cheese made from raw milk.

Of course the FDA failed to mention the Jalisco cheese incident in 1985 where there were 48 deaths: 20 fetuses, 10 neonates, and 18 non-pregnant adults due to eating cheese from pasteurized milk. This was all within a period of only seven months.

Another omitted case: Four people died just in the year 2007 due to contaminated pasteurized milk from Whittier Farms. Three of them being elderly men and one being an unborn baby.

To this day, there isn't even one documented death inflicted by raw milk products in the US.

This is simply another biased attempt at banning raw milk altogether. So the next time you attend a Food Handlers Course, please be sure to throw these statistics at them.
