Researchers discover pregnancy complications can lead to eating disorders in children
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
Maureen's Medical Moment is devoted to a recent study that found a link between eating disorders, including bulimia and anorexia, to complications at birth.
Complications during pregnancy and after birth may increase the chance a baby will develop an eating disorder later in life.
Researchers looked at the medical records of women who had either bulimia or anorexia and compared them to women without eating disorders.
They found women with eating disorders were more likely to have been exposed to complications while in the womb or immediately after birth.
Researchers also found the more complications a baby was exposed to, the more likely they were to develop an eating disorder at a young age.
