Nordic Naturals Scores Highest in Norwegian Quality Tests (press release)

Watsonville, California (January, 2006) Nordic Naturals scored highest in Norwegian quality tests coordinated by the Norwegian magazine “Mat og Helse” (“Food & Health”) according to the December issue. In November, the magazine arranged for a blind test of fish oil supplements by the independent laboratory AnalyCen. The supplements came from 10 top companies selling to Norwegian health food stores and professionals. Nordic Naturals products were analyzed and shown to have the highest ranking values of all brands tested in 3 areas: freshness as measured by peroxide value, purity based on PCB levels and concentration (EPA/DHA content). According to Joar Opheim, CEO, “Fish oils in Norway are monitored by the Mattilsynet (Norwegian Medicinal Standard) which has the most stringent requirements in the world, so we were already being compared to higher product quality than what we generally find in the US.
