by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
Dr. PL Meenakshisundaram, a specialist in HIV/AIDS treatment, claims that an herbal medicine in ayurvedic capsules has benefited AIDS patients by helping them to gain weight and increasing their white blood cell count.
Fantastic initial results have been claimed in treating AIDS patients using a herbal concoction that leads to increase in weight and increase in white blood cell count.
Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre was one of the hospital that had conducted the trail and Medical Director Prof V N Rajasekaran said that over 400 patients were tested during the trial.
The advantage of taking the ayurvedic capsules along with allopathic therapy "is fantastic and encouraging, Rajasekaran claimed.
He added that While the allopathic medicine, when taken alone, did not increase the CD4 count, the drug taken along with the ayurvedic capsule increased the CD4 count among the patients "remarkably well.
Many practitioners in India have claimed positive results using Ayureda and herbal medicine to treat AIDS.
Most of these claims remain anecdotal and none of the drugs have been looked at seriously so far.
