In Vancouver, Wash., the Clark County Health Department has confirmed six cases of E.coli in children between ages five and 19, and the authorities have issued warnings to parents about children drinking unpasteurized milk and showing diarrhea symptoms, which usually signal the bacteria's presence.
If you or your children have been drinking unpasteurized milk or been experiencing diarrhea, you might want to get checked out by a doctor.
The Clark County Health Department says they have confirmed six cases of E. coli have in children between the ages of 5 and 19.
Two of the children are in unstable condition, according Dr. Justin Denny with the Clark County Health Department.
Denny added that five of the children drank unpasteurized milk bought from Dee Creek Dairy in Longview, Washington.
"If you have developed any bloody diarrhea in the past 10 days or if you have consumed unpasteurized milk, please seek medical attention," Denny said.
"I also want to point out to please wash your hands after handling livestock and preparing food, cook your meat thoroughly and only consume pasteurized milk products."
