Fred Seibert has launched the first cartoon video podcast made specifically for distribution on portable video devices. Episodes will be released every week containing several cartoons from around the world.

Frederator Studios founder Fred Seibert has launched Channel Frederator, the world's first cartoon video podcast created expressly for distribution of world-class content on portable video devices, such as the Apple iPod and the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP). Episodes released weekly will contain several shorts from original and vintage cartoons submitted by producers from around the world, packaged into 10- to 15-minute episodes by the Channel Frederator programming team. The first episode features four cartoons, beginning with BARRISTA, a 2D student film by Pendelton Ward (buenothebear.com), a director now completing his first Nickelodeon animated short. Independent filmmaker and musician Eileen Brennan (2nimbus.com) adds the Flash production, GO SPY GO. The last cartoon in Episode #1 is Dave Thomas' Flash film, MANTELOPE, from San Francisco-based Wild Brain (wildbrain.com). Prior to forming Frederator Studios, Seibert was president of Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, where he innovated the return of cartoons to the television mainstream, producing more than 100 shorts that spun off now legendary series like DEXTER'S LABORATORY, JOHNNY BRAVO, THE POWERPUFF GIRLS and COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG. Fueled by Seibert's relationships with hundreds of the world's top animated filmmakers since 1998, Channel Frederator is an innovative distribution platform for cartoons and the place to see character-based shorts created in all styles, including traditional 2D, Flash, CGI and clay animation. For a free subscription to the Channel Frederator podcast, go to the iTunes Podcast Directory and search for Channel Frederator, or go to the website www.channelfrederator.com and click 'Subscribe.' "Every venture at our studio begins with the talent and the film," said Seibert. Eric Homan, Channel Frederator's president of programming adds, "It's always been our goal to showcase some of today's funniest and most original talent.
