by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

The new DVS DVD player is only 36 cm wide and 3.8 cm high and plays all formats. Design is the main attraction of the player, and even the remote is "ergonomically designed" with enhanced button feel.

The GUI offers the user the choice of controlling the volume, color, brightness, contrast etc. from the DVD player, apart from all the regular DVD features. The player plays all formats - DVD, VCD, ACD, MP3, WMA, DTS CD and Picture CDs. The new remote is ergonomically designed with an enhanced button feel. The rear panel has all the required connections like Composite, Component and S Video outputs, while the player sports Stereo, 5.1 channel Analog, Digital Optical and Coaxial Outputs for enhanced sound reproduction. Sanjiv Das, product manager, DVS Electronics, said, "Usually what happens is that the products are provided to the customers, as it is available and no value addition is done to it. But at DVS we have added features that will suit the Indian conditions. As you are aware the voltage fluctuations in our country is a real problem as far as electronic items, their life span and maintenance is concerned." "Thus we have altered the product with features which will enable the product to withstand all the potential voltage problems. This added feature helps the voltage from 90 volts - 270 volts, and this feature has been added-on to all our coming products as well", said Das. The company claims that 562M is a player made for every living room, the punch line for the product being - big on features and small in size. The 562M is expected to take forward DVS' tradition of giving the consumer the highest quality at the most competitive prices. The product is priced at an MRP of Rs 3,490.
