Solar-powered charger for iPods now available

The Soldius1 solar charger works with all iPod generations as well as more than 250 other mobile devices. Soldius1 takes three to four hours to charge in direct sunlight, and folds flat to fit into a shirt pocket.
NH-based mysoldius on Wednesday announced its Soldius1 is now available in New England, at the Fox Run Mall in Newington, NH.
The Soldius1 is a solar charger for the iPod (it also works with cell phones), with prices starting at US$89.99.

Billed as a "universal solar charger," the Soldius1 works with iPods, iPod minis, iPod shuffles and iPod nanos, as well as more than 250 mobile phones and other MP3 players and PDAs.
The device uses "Maximum Solar Power Tracking" technology developed by the company.
The Soldius1 folds flat and can fit into a shirt pocket when not in use.
The Soldius1 takes about 3-4 hours to fully charge a cell phone in direct sunlight, according to a FAQ posted o the company's Web site; Soldius did not indicate how long it takes to charge an iPod.
