Xantrex launches portable power solution

With its new XPower Powerpack and Pocket Inverters, Xantrex brings compact, affordable and portable power to consumers for their portable electronics.
This compact unit combines an inverter with a battery, and can provide 30 charge cycles for a Blackberry(TM), 20 charge cycles for an iPod(TM), eight charge cycles for a cell phone and 2.5 hours of additional runtime for a laptop computer.
"With these portable power products, Xantrex is removing the number one frustration for travelers using mobile devices, which is disruption due to loss of battery power," said Mossadiq Umedaly, chairman of Xantrex.

Both the usage and power requirements of mobile devices like cell phones, MP3 players, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and laptops have grown exponentially in recent years, yet advances in battery technology have not kept pace.
Xantrex is bridging the power gap by extending the use of these portable electronic devices, which have become essential to modern society.
