Arizonans believe solar energy is the best energy solution

The Arizona Corporation Commission has proposed a goal of 15 percent renewable energy by 2025, so the new Snowflake Power Plant, for some residents, seems a temporary solution next to the unlimited potential of solar energy.
I am excited to hear that here in Arizona we are finally considering alternative forms of energy.
The idea of investing in a biomass power plant is definitely a step in the right direction.
However, I feel we are missing the obvious solution.
While a biomass power plant would be an ideal way to utilize singed trees, once this source is not readily available we will be forced to harvest our healthy forests.
In the sunniest state in the country, solar power is an obvious choice for our energy supply.
We also have potential to use wind power in some areas.
We have a surplus of solar resources and need to start harnessing them.
The Arizona Corporation Commission is proposing 15 percent renewable energy by 2025 and needs to move quickly in finalizing this and moving our state to the forefront in harnessing renewable energy.
