New York Times Company fires 500 employees

In a recent announcement by Knight Ridder, the New York Times company will be clearing out newsrooms in NYC, Philadelphia and The Boston Globe.
DISPLAYING FIRST 50 OF 1125 WORDS -The New York Times Company announced yesterday that it would cut its work force by 500 employees, including 45 in The Times's newsroom and 35 in the newsroom of The Boston Globe.
