Rhode Island recalls dangerous Halloween candy
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
Finger Lite, distributed by Malibu Toys, contains a high level of lead, and the State Health Department of Rhode Island is working to remove the danger from retail outlets.
The state Health Department is telling trick-or-treaters not to eat candy necklaces or rings that light up.
The candy---called Finger Lite, that's L-I-T-E---comes in packaging with a high lead content.
Candy distributor Malibu Toys of California has voluntarily recalled it.
Health Department spokesman Robert Marshall says state workers are trying to determine which stores in Rhode Island may have sold the candy.
He says in Maine, the candy was shipped to CVS, K-mart, Movie Gallery, Rite Aid, Target, Walgreen's and Wal-Mart.
Marshall says anyone who bought Finger Lite candy should return it to the store where they bought it.
