Doctor endorses non-invasive treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome

Newly registered with the FDA, a therapy known as the "carpal solution" works to relieve the pain of carpal tunnel syndrome without the need of invasive surgery.
Every day, millions of workers put themselves at risk for a condition that may actually stop them from being able to work.
You're working at your desk and suddenly a sharp, piercing pain shoots through your wrist and up your arm.
It's more likely carpal tunnel syndrome -- a painful progressive condition caused by compression of a key nerve in the wrist.
CTS is common in a variety of professions, from pilots and mechanics -- to masseuses.
Masseuse Tamella Sobanek recalled, "What frustrated me the most about it is that it actually put me out of work for a year.
I had to quit massaging for about a year to get everything under control and back into a condition to where I could continue working."
It's called the "carpal solution," FDA registered therapy which is worn at night and gently tugs at the three key points surrounding the carpal tunnel.
This decompresses the soft tissue around the carpal tunnel and relieves pain and other symptoms of CTS.
my wrists and hands stand up to it."
Surgery for CTS requires months of rehabilitation and since carpal tunnel is a syndrome, the pain often returns, requiring additional surgery.
Wellness expert Dr. Michelle Robin explained, "This is a solution to staying at work and possibly 90% of the time, you're going to have a great result after about 10 days."
When people have CTS, the temperature in the hand is cooler than the forearm because the blood isn't circulating that well.
Thermal images show the change in temperature that happens when the "thermal solution" is applied.
"You have circulation nerve conduction, then the body at the cellular level will start repairing itself.
And that's the whole basis of the 'Carpal Solution,'" said orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Clyde Morgan.
