# Take a walk around the block before dinner with the entire family or a friend and unwind and share the days events.
If you are looking to increase your fitness level or lose weight, continue to increase the duration and/or intensity of your activity.
Always remember to stretch before each walk or run to prepare your muscles for the activity.
If you choose to walk for exercise, walk briskly, using your arms to help propel you forward.
You may also progress by jogging intermittently.
For example, if you would like to run three miles, begin by walking five minutes and jogging two minutes.
