Two scientific researches under the direction of Dr Juan Hancke, M.D., P.h.D., Professor at the Institute of Pharmacology, Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia, and leading scientific researcher on the health benefits of Andrographis Paniculata, will be the featured at The Venetian & Sands Expo from Nov 9-11, 2005 during SupplySide West International Trade Show and Conference as part of the scientific poster exhibition.
The PARACTIN® poster presentation, by Dr Juan Hancke, entitled, "PARACTIN® exerts anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting Nuclear Factor Kappa B (NF-kB), reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines such as Interferon gamma, Interleukin-2, and reducing COX-2." explains the mechanism of action for PARACTIN® as an anti-inflammatory ingredient at the cellular level. The scientific poster was a combination of 2 published researches: (a) " PARACTIN® interferes DNA binding of NF-kB in HL-60/Neutrophils cells" was published in British Journal of Pharmacology (2005) 144, 680-686, and (b) " PARACTIN® inhibits Interferon gamma and Interleukin 2 cytokines production and protects against cell apoptosis" was published in Planta Biochemistry Molecular Biology March 3rd, 2005.
