by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention, stating that two million Americans are hospitalized annually for flu complications, recommend that people heighten their awareness of personal hygiene, especially hand washing, as a practical way to control the spread of flu.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention the most important factors in stopping the spread of influenza are good hygiene and courtesy.
Further, the Center says it is one way we can save more lives, noting nearly 2000,000 Americans are hospitalized each year for complications of influenza and about 36,000 die.
There are three types of flu virus; A, B and C and subtypes which affect humans.
The virus that causes influenza can mutate and changes that happen year by year is what leads to pandemics which are deadly.
Health experts say it is impossible to predict what kind of flu season will occur this year.
