Low level laser therapy may help you quit smoking
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
A laser therapy company claims 30 minutes of low laser therapy, which focuses on acupressure points on the body, can help a person stop smoking by stimulating and releasing endorphins that trick the body into believing it's still smoking.
A company says they can help you become a non-smoker in just 30-minutes.
It's called low level laser therapy and it works on the acupressure points of the body.
The laser is used on various pressure points of the body like the ear, wrist, and leg to create passageways that allow the nicotine to be flushed from the body.
Michael Dafoe of Advanced Laser Therapy says, "When you smoke a cigarette you stimulate what is called endorphins in your body.
When we use the laser we're actually stimulating endorphins and also releasing some endorphins.
The body is going to think you're still smoking."
The procedure is done in 30 minutes, and those who go through the procedure need to drink plenty of water to flush the nicotine out of their bodies for the next couple of days.
The low-level laser therapy is currently in clinical trials.
The FDA has not approved it as a method to quit smoking.
