Learning to love yourself is a key to healthy life
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor
The key to losing weight and living a healthy life is to love yourself, writes e-Diets.com psychologist Dr. John H. Sklare, because only when you have learned self-love will you be able to make the lifestyle decisions that are best for your body and its health.
I'm sure you all remember that quote from a famous poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
That phrase, with a little Dr. Sklare twist, came to mind the other day while I was reading an email from a woman who said she was suffering pure agony.
The weigh-in can often make the strong weak and the brave fearful.
For a great many, it is a very powerful, unnerving and emotional event.
The scale simply delivers an objective measure of weight that is, for the most part, a true reflection of the pre-weigh-in health choices you have made.
As I read that woman's email above, I was reminded that the only true way to insure positive results at your weigh-in is to love yourself enough to consistently make healthy choices along the way.
That is the exact thought that brought that Browning poem to my mind.
However, as I mentioned above, I put a little Dr. Sklare spin on the phrase: How do I love thee, let me count the WEIGHS!
In a nutshell, the key to achieving weight loss and healthy living is found in learning how to love yourself.
Self love is often the answer to creating the healthy body and life you dream about, and it is also the antidote for the agony many feel at weigh-in time.
Because if you truly love yourself, you will consistently make health choices that echo that sentiment and demonstrate that depth of caring.
