Exercise does not help acute back pain, say researchers

Acute back pain can not be reduced with exercise, Seattle researchers say.
Researchers at the Center for Health Studies in Seattle found that it did little for those with acute pain that strikes quickly.
But, working out did slightly relieve aches and improve function in people with chronic low back pain.
The findings are in the current issue of "The Cochrane Library."
