Believe it or not, sleek digital products have truly started to become fashion accessories for the masses in the market.
Remember the time when portable audio players were just another materialistic product in your collection of entertainment tools.
We have seen the market get flooded with MP3 players of all sorts.
There are perhaps more MP3 players in the market than all motherboards, memory modules and graphics cards combined.
Apple's iPod is of course the first and foremost contender when it comes to portable audio players.
Then we also have solid offerings from Samsung, Rio, iRiver, Creative and numerous other manufacturers, and although they are sleek and what not, they are not as stylish as Beat Sounds' EMP-Z II Plus audio player.
As much as the Beat Sounds EMP-Z II Plus appears impressive in size and the fact that it's the smallest and the lightest MP3 player in its category, it very well lacks the functionality to make it a viable option for the audiophile in mind.
Exterior wise, the EMPZ-II Plus is very sleek, round and comes in two primary colors: red and silver.
It offers a color LCD screen with neck strap earphones that are specially designed to integrate with the overall product concept.
For example, Beat Sounds has designed the headphones, so that they fit in perfectly well with the player's compartment at the back.
You can definitely replace the packaged earphones with something that's a little better, but the back of the MP3 player wouldn't look as impressive as it does with stock earphones.
This is undoubtedly a drawback, but considering the rest of the specifications of the player, we are not too sure if you would want to invest in a pair of decent earphones anyways.
