Wheelchair-bound fitness icon proves that anyone can be healthy through exercise and nutrition

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

Kevin Saunders is riding a wheelchair across the country to serve as an example that people can attain physical fitness no matter what obstacles may stand in the way. He was paralyzed from the chest down due to a work injury. He later pursued physical fitness and became a para-olympian, winning bronze metals in the pentathlon. Kevin was inspired to pursue his cross-country wheelchair ride by hoping to serve as an example and get the message out to people that if they exercise, eat right, and get plenty of rest, they, too can be healthy, just like he is.

I applaud this effort by Kevin, and would also like to add that if a man paralyzed from the chest down can find a way to make time to eat right, drink plenty of water, and get a daily dose of physical exercise, I'm willing to bet that you can too. Look to Kevin as a shining example of what the human body and human spirit can accomplish when properly motivated.

Following that, take a look at your own life, your own body and situation -- chances are, you have the function of your legs. So the question goes out to you, and all the readers today -- if you have all your body parts, why not put them to good use? If Kevin can ride a wheelchair across the country without the use of most of his body, I'm willing to bet that you can find time to make it to the gym, pump a few weights, and get on the treadmill at least 3 times a week. It will be good for you, and if take up some good nutritional habits, avoid of metabolic disruptors, eat superfoods and take plenty of nutritional supplements, you too can achieve outstanding human health.
