Confirmed: Steve Jobs Underwent Partial Removal of Pancreas in 2004, May Need Total Removal Now

As Steve Jobs' health continues declining, numerous health experts and writers (including myself) have been speculating about the causes and possible cures for his health condition.

On January 5, after observing Steve Jobs' declining body weight and reviewing his publicly-available medical history, I speculated that he may have undergone a "Whipple procedure," a surgical operation typically undergone by patients suffering from pancreatic cancer.

The Whipple procedure removes part of the pancreas, gallbladder, small intestine and stomach, leaving patients in a devastating state of digestive difficulty.

Bloomberg.com is now reporting that Steve Jobs did, indeed, undergo a Whipple procedure in 2004 which removed part of his pancreas. Now, doctors believe Jobs may need to have the remainder of his pancreas surgically removed, leaving him with no pancreas at all.

That would put Jobs at a very high risk of diabetes and make his insulin and blood sugar management issues quite complex -- the body normally handles all this on autopilot, but without a pancreas, it has to be micro-managed by doctors.

This new development has sent shockwaves through the Apple, Inc. investment community, where investors are complaining that Steve Jobs hasn't been up front and honest enough about his health disclosures. In his previous announcement in early January, for example, he claimed to suffer from a "nutritional problem," which sort of implies it's a food issue instead of a "my-pancreas-is-missing" issue.

What Jobs is really suffering from are the devastating effects of cancer surgery. This is what happens when you put your life into the hands of doctors who believe that removing organs is preferable to healing them.

NaturalNews continues to wish Steve Jobs a speedy recovery and hopes that he will find a holistic solution to his current health challenges.
