Naturally eliminate pimples overnight

Pimples

(NaturalNews) Pimples seem to strike at the most unfortunate times. Whether it's the night before that big job interview you've been waiting for or a few days before your wedding, there really is never a good time for your skin to break out.

You might think there is no way you can get rid of pimples quickly, especially if they're big, but there are actually quite a few natural remedies that could make all the difference. Some people swear by lemon juice, while others insist that ice is the way to go. It might take some trial and error before you figure out what works best with your particular skin type and body chemistry, but there is a good chance that the solution to those inopportune pimples could be right here on this list.

Tea Tree Oil

The antibacterial properties of tea tree essential oil make it perfectly suited to fighting acne-causing bacteria, and it can also help bring down inflammation. Tea tree oil can dry out whiteheads and blackheads alike. In fact, it's so drying that you need to be careful not to use too much!

Dip a cotton swap in some tea tree oil and then apply it to the area in question. You might want to dilute this with some aloe vera gel first, especially if your skin is sensitive.

Ice

Ice is one of the fastest-acting natural pimple remedies. In the same way that it helps an injury to other parts of your body, it can also help boost the circulation of blood to the affected area on your face, promoting healing. Wrap an ice cube in some cloth and hold it onto the pimple for as long as you can stand it, then wait a few minutes and apply it again. This can bring down swelling, redness and inflammation pretty significantly.

Toothpaste

If you're like most people, it probably never occurred to you that toothpaste could be used for anything other than cleaning your teeth. However, traditional white toothpaste can be applied directly to pimples to help bring down the swelling. Many people apply it at bedtime, but you can also apply it a few times throughout the day if needed, although there will be telltale white mark so this is only a good option if you'll be at home.

Lemon Juice

Rich in Vitamin C, lemon juice can be used to encourage your pimples to dry up faster thanks to its astringent and antibacterial properties. Simply squeeze some organic lemon juice into a bowl, dip a cotton swab into it, and apply it to your face a few times throughout the day. Lemon juice can also help fade scars from past breakouts.

Papaya

Papaya contains an enzyme known as papain, which can cleanse skin and unclog pores. It's also a powerful exfoliant, which means it can remove dead skin cells in order to unclog your pores.

Many people like to enlist the help of a juicer to simplify the process. Apply papaya juice to the affected area, let it sit for ten minutes, and then rinse it off. Some people rub a chunk of raw papaya directly onto the problematic area, but this can be very strong so you shouldn't do it more than once a day.

Garlic

Garlic is a natural remedy all-star, so it's no surprise that this antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral agent can also help you get rid of pimples quickly. Cut a clove of garlic in half and rub the cut end on your pimple. Leave it on for five to ten minutes and then wash it off as the garlic can be irritating. Repeat this a few times throughout the day.

When an untimely pimple strikes, try to stay calm. Stress can contribute to skin problems, so keep your composure and choose one of the effective home remedies on this list. If it's not gone by the time you wake up, it should at least be a lot less noticeable.
