California has been spraying toxic, cancer-causing fracking chemicals on food crops for 20 years

Most Viewed Articles

(NaturalNews) California's farmers have been lured by an affordable water recycling program in which the water used for their crops costs about $33 per square foot. Compare this to the $1,500 per square foot cost of freshwater, and it's easy to see why farmers, whose crops have been hard hit by the state's severe drought, gravitate towards this cheaper, recycled alternative.(1)

However, there's a catch, and it's one that's been unleashing chemical violence on the state's residents for years: The recycled water comes from fracking wells which has been found to be riddled with everything from the industrial solvent, acetone, to benzene, a carcinogen. Consider that over 45,000 acres of farmland have been sprayed with this cocktail of cancer-causing poisons, and one can't help but consider the long-term health problems that will undoubtedly affect all Americans who've had access to California's food supply.(1)

As we reported on August 1, 2015, fracking water has been poisoning California's crops for quite some time, and there is no telling how long this deception has been going on for.

Tainted recycled water systems unleashing chemical violence on American citizens

This recycled oil field water, which is treated by oil giant Chevron and sold to California's Cawelo Water District to the tune of 21 million gallons daily, was recently tested to assess the presence of oil production chemicals. Its findings, which were outlined in a lengthy lab report, have people worried about their health. According to an article in the Los Angeles Times, the dangerous chemicals lurking in this treated water are described as follows:

According to the 138-page report, a laboratory analysis found acetone at levels ranging from 31 parts per billion to 150 parts per billion...Benzene, a carcinogen, was present in trace amounts in the samples, according to the lab report. California regulations do not allow benzene at any level in drinking water. There is no state standard for benzene in irrigation water.(2)

This clearly demonstrates that Americans have been a victim of chemical violence. Sadly, the powers that be at Chevron dismiss this by turning to phrases and tactics that are favored by nearly all like-minded corporations. They've been talking a great deal of meeting permit boundaries, falling within compliance parameters and suggesting that the source of the acetone was a naturally-occurring byproduct involving the breakdown of hydrocarbons instead of anything dealing with the company's operations. In a statement, Chevron stated that its "...water reuse operation has run appropriately for the benefit of California agriculture and in accordance with all regulatory requirements."(2)

Arsenic, fluoride, forced vaccinations: Welcome to California

These findings intensify already mounting health concerns throughout the state.

For example, many residents have expressed fears over ingestion of arsenic in their water; as the drought worsens, the deeper they dig into the earth for water where levels of arsenic are more concentrated and potent. In a trailer park 40 miles south of Palm Springs, people have discovered that people are drinking from water with twice the concentration of arsenic that's deems safe for consumption. Arsenic is linked to birth defects, nervous system problems and various cancers. Let's not forget that as arsenic levels rise, so too do the levels of fluoride. Now we can add skeletal fluorosis, which causes joint stiffness and weakened bones, and teeth problems to the list of health issues.(3,4)

If it's not about the water, it's about what's happening in California's medical circus thanks to the passing of SB 277, which forces children of school age to be vaccinated. If they refuse, they will be banned from attending school -- public or private -- within California. Not only are Californians living under a dark cloud of chemical horrors brought about by tainted water, but they're also victims of vaccine violence, living in an unhealthy, unfair "do as I say" world.(5)

You may be surprised to find out fracking water is sprayed on crops, but you may be even more surprised to find out how common it actually is. Find other stories like this one about what happens to fracking waste water at Fracking.news
