Costco, NYT, Google all systematically suppressing Dinesh D'Souza's bestselling book 'America'

Dinesh D'Souza

(NaturalNews) I haven't read Dinesh D'Souza's new book, "America"... nor have I seen the movie. But apparently it says something so profound and impactful that some of the most powerful corporations in America are going to extraordinary lengths to make sure you never found out what it says. A modern-day "book burning" is taking place right before our very eyes, and Costco, the New York Times, Google all seem to be in on it.

For starters, Costco recently ordered all copies of D'Souza's books stripped from its store shelves, making sure its customers never have a chance to buy and read the book. Costco co-founder and director Jim Sinegal, it turns out, is a huge Obama donor and supporter who even gave a speech at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

This despicable tactic of first stocking the book on Costco shelves and then suddenly removing it is particularly damaging to the publisher, and it categorizes the books as "returned" by the retailer. This obviously-calculated move is a tactic of financial disruption designed to interrupt the cash flow of both the publisher and the author. That Costco is engaged in this sort of punitive, low-blow political sleaze ball tactics is nothing short of astonishing.

Book ranked #1 on Amazon

For the record, D'Souza's book is currently ranked #1 on Amazon.com in the Political Commentary and Opinion category. Clearly this is one of the most popular books in America right now. Costco just wants to make sure you don't find out what it says.

"Costco's book department issued the 'pull-order,'" reports WND.com. (1) "...requiring all Costco stores nationwide to remove the book, confirmed Scott Losse, an inventory control specialist in the book department at the Costco Wholesale corporate office in Issaquah, Washington, a suburb of Seattle."

"Most Costco stores WND contacted Monday had already pulled 'America' from the shelves, with others scheduled to remove it with their regularly scheduled inventory changes Tuesday or Wednesday this week," WND reported.

New York Times scrubs "America" from its bestseller list

Furthering the politically-motivated censorship and "book burning" efforts, the New York Times simply decided "America" would never be listed as a bestselling book on its authoritative list, even if the book sold MORE than other books already on the list.

"His new book, on sale for three weeks, isn't just absent from the top 10 lists already set for the next two Sundays, but totally missing from the list of the nation's top 25 nonfiction hardcovers despite having sales higher than 13 on the latest Times chart," reported the Washington Examiner. (2)

Why is the New York Times memory-holing D'Souza's book off its bestseller list? "They are part of the propaganda arm of the Obama administration," D'Souza said. "It's their newspaper, and they have a right to rig their list anyway they want, but if they are doing it, people should know."

"Rigged" is the correct word, of course. What's clear is that the NYT doesn't want Americans to read anything that runs counter to the paper's extremely biased, slanted, anti-American propaganda that celebrates destructive economic policies and totalitarian healthcare agendas.

What the NYT is really doing, of course, is decimating any credibility it might have had by openly and unabashedly rigging its "NYT bestseller" list. Now all of America knows the list is a fraud. In reality, the list is decided by censors who operate the paper like a self-proclaimed Ministry of Truth ripped right out of George Orwell's 1984.

Is Google also censoring D'Souza?

Google also appears to be deliberately censoring D'Souza's movie. "Lawyers representing Dinesh D'Souza's newest film, America, have fired off a letter to Google demanding that the search engine correct problems that they say are hampering the ability of consumers to figure out where the movie is playing," reports the Hollywood Reporter. (3)

Hollywood Reporter goes on to say:

Google, according to the letter, has been "misdirecting many users who mistakenly believed the film was not playing in theaters."

Is this an SEO glitch or a deliberate censorship attempt? We know Google has always been strongly pro-Obama, so there's clearly a motive to pull the kind of shenanigans that Costco and the New York Times are committing.

While Google did not respond to multiple requests for comment, some potential moviegoers are accusing the search company, or others, of engaging in a plot of misinformation. "This mixup is likely being coordinated by those in the film industry who hope the film fails at the box office," one wrote at the film's Facebook page.

Blatant censorship shows the true anti-American positions of Costco and the New York Times

What we're really seeing in all this is a clear example of Costco, the NYT and maybe even Google engaging in blatant censorship of political speech they don't like.

Such actions are, ironically, anti-American at their core, especially given that the content of D'Souza's book and movie warns Americans about precisely the sort of tyrannical, oppressive political environment being invoked by Costco and the New York Times. D'Souza's works desperately need to be read by everyone precisely because they are being censored, in other words. What kind of America are we living in when powerful corporations engage in blatant censorship of political speech they don't like?

These two corporations are, essentially, part of the political mafia that will use any tactics necessary to destroy the message of freedom for America. I don't know if I personally agree with everything D'Souza says in his book and movie, but I sure as heck know that if his works are being so aggressively and deliberately censored, there must be something really important to be found there. Socialist-leaning papers like the NYT are horrified that Americans might learn more about real history, the Bill of Rights, the First Amendment and other liberties that once defined America.

Condemn Costco and the New York Times for their tyranny and censorship

We should all condemn Costco and the New York Times in the strongest terms possible for their brazen attacks on the First Amendment and freedom of speech. If you're a member of Costco, walk away from your membership now and stop financially supporting this anti-American company run by anti-American mafia. Take your business somewhere else.

And if you still subscribe to the New York Times -- as almost nobody does anymore -- cancel your subscription and get your news somewhere else. There's no place in a free society for a mafia-run censorship rag that pretends to bring you news while actually running memory-hole suppression agendas on important authors.

Finally, go out and see D'Souza's movie "America" just to find out what they DON'T want you to know. It doesn't matter if you're a Republican, a Democrat, undecided, independent or politically agnostic. You don't even have to agree with everything D'Souza says. But shouldn't we all have the opportunity to at least hear the man's perspective and the decide for ourselves what we wish to believe rather than have the NYT and Costco shove their own distorted anti-American propaganda down our throats?

Personally, I make it a point to see all of Michael Moore's films, too, just because I want to know what he's proposing. I don't agree with Moore on a lot of things, but I want to hear his perspective. The same rule applies to D'Souza: I want to see his movie and then decide for myself. Maybe that's why I don't shop at Costco and I don't read the New York Times.

It's also why, like most Natural News readers, I've learned to think for myself and stop allowing my mind to be polluted by the slanted, wholly-fabricated mainstream media.
