Will Obama murder whistleblower and American patriot Edward Snowden with drones? Ron Paul expresses serious concerns

(NaturalNews) Edward Snowden, the brave American patriot who blew the whistle on the evil Obama Administration's treasonous National Security Agency (NSA) spying scheme, is in grave danger of being murdered by taxpayer-funded drone missiles. This was the sentiment expressed by former Texas Representative and American hero Ron Paul during a recent interview with FOX Business.

In his own words, Paul expressed serious concerns about the potential use of advanced, targeted weaponry by Obama against Snowden, who reportedly fled to Hong Kong for his safety just prior to the release of the damning information. Snowden is not believed to have actually defected to this foreign country, but rather escaped there temporarily for his own protection against an increasingly tyrannical federal government that likes to keep its deeds of darkness under cover.

"I'm worried somebody in our government might kill him with a cruise missile or a drone missile," said Paul. "I mean, we live in a bad time where American citizens don't even have rights and they can be killed, but the gentleman is trying to tell the truth about what's going on ... It's a shame that we are in an age where people who tell the truth about what the government is doing get into trouble."

Snowden, as you may recall, recently came forward as the whistleblower behind the so-called "PRISM" slides, which outline the methodology behind the NSA's massive spying program. The slides revealed that the federal government has been tapping the servers of Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, and many other popular sites for private information about Americans in direct violation of the U.S. Constitution.

"Everybody is worried about [Snowden] and what they're going to do and how they will convict him of treason and how they're going to kill him, but what about the people who destroy our Constitution?" asked Paul during the interview. "What kind of penalty are those individuals who take the Second or the Fourth Amendment and destroy it? What do we think about people who assassinated American citizens without trials and assume that's the law of the land?"

The real American traitors are Obama, Graham, Feinstein, and others who have betrayed the American people

Paul is referring, of course, to the thugs currently occupying the White House who have shredded almost every last remnant of the Constitution with illegal executive orders, illicit drone use policies, unlawful spying programs, and many other tactics of tyranny. He is also likely referring to the many American traitors in the U.S. Congress, which include authoritarian enablers like Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, and Speaker of the House John Boehner of Ohio.

"The Fourth Amendment is clear; we should be secure in our persons, houses, papers, and effects, and all warrants must have probable cause," reads a recent statement issued by the Ron Paul-chaired freedom group Campaign for Liberty. "Today the government operates largely in secret, while seeking to know everything about our private lives - without probable cause and without a warrant."

"We should be thankful for individuals like Edward Snowden and Glenn Greenwald who see injustice being carried out by their own government and speak out, despite the risk. They have done a great service to the American people by exposing the truth about what our government is doing in secret."
