(NewsTarget) Candida is a type of fungus (yeast) which exists in the body. In a healthy body, it doesn`t cause any problems, but when an overgrowth occurs, it can result in a condition called candidiasis. Candidiasis can lead to many conditions in the body such as thrush, abdominal bloating, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). By eliminating most carbohydrates and sugary foods from your diet, you can help to stop candidiasis in its tracks. There are also many herbal remedies available.

You may be suffering from candidiasis if you experience cravings for bread, alcohol or sugar or if you have griping abdominal pains, thrush or any other recurring fungal infection, vaginal discharge or urinary tract infection, constipation, diarrhoea, `brain fog` where you have difficulty concentrating or remembering things, joint or muscle pains, depression, tearfulness, a weakened immune system, sensitivities to foods, strong odours, cigarette smoke and perfumes, fatigue, frequent urination, ringing in the ears, sensitivity to noise, low sex drive, blurred vision, sensitivity to light or constant feelings of being cold.

To start eliminating this bacterial growth in your body, you need to eat plenty of healthy fats such as fish oil, cod liver oil, extra virgin olive oil, organic raw butter and extra virgin coconut oil. Carbohydrates need to be severely restricted and should be eaten in the form of vegetables, preferably steamed or raw if possible. Avoid beets and carrots though, as these have high sugar content. Grapefruit, apples and berries are the best forms of fruit to consume.

Drink plenty of filtered or purified water, along with herbal teas and barley grass. Broths may also be consumed. Avoid any sweetened drinks, including fruit juices. All forms of sugar need to be eliminated from your diet, as candidiasis thrives on it. Eat as few grains as possible, preferably limiting them to oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa and millet. Seeds and nuts may be eaten, but it is best to soak these overnight to make them more easily digestible. A simple rule of thumb regarding the dietary changes is to only consume natural and organic foods.

Once you have your diet under control, you can then start to kill off the Candida with natural antifungals. These include garlic, oil of oregano, Wormwood/Black Walnut, Olive Leaf extract, Grapefruit seed extract, extra virgin coconut oil and Caprylic acid. It is important to keep using a different antifungal treatment every 3 to 4 days because the Candida may become resistant to one form of treatment if it is used for too long.

Oil of oregano is very potent, so only a few drops of it need to be placed in a glass of water. Too much of this oil can cause irritation to mucous membranes. Garlic has extremely powerful antifungal properties. It is best eaten raw, although it is rather potent. For this reason, it may be crushed and added to food. If you are not able to eat raw garlic, you may use garlic oil capsules instead.

Colloidal Silver denatures enzymes involved with providing oxygen to the Candida. This will help to starve the Candida and kill it off. Edible clays such as Montmorillonite or Bentonite clay are highly absorptive. Because these clays are not absorbed by the body, they are able to absorb the Candida and help it to pass through and out of the body. Psyllium husk is a highly effective colon cleanser that will help eliminate the Candida as well. Spirulina and Chlorella are highly nutritious and will also help to detoxify the body and remove the Candida.
