UK newspaper reveals the injuries and deaths from specific vaccines

by Jonathan Benson, staff writer

(NaturalNews) A major UK media outlet has made a bold move by publishing official Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) data obtained from the government showing that, contrary to the opinions of pro-vaccine talking heads, childhood vaccines are, indeed, responsible for causing tens of thousands of serious injuries and deaths among children.

A data sheet containing figures of "spontaneous suspected ADR reports in association with a vaccine" between January 1, 2005, and April 22, 2015, reveals that nearly 22,000 vaccine-related injuries or deaths have been reported to public health authorities in the UK over the past decade. And a bulk of these are associated in particular with two types of vaccines: human papillomavirus (HPV) and influenza.

The UK's Independent published the following chart illustrating a breakdown of the total number of ADR reports for each associated vaccine. As you'll notice, the HPV vaccines Gardasil (Merck & Co.) and Cervarix (GlaxoSmithKline) take the top spot with 8,228 reported ADRs, followed by influenza virus vaccines with 2,994 ADRs reported:

Not far behind these are many of the usual vaccine suspects, including MMR for measles, mumps, and rubella, which the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was exposed for endorsing based on fraudulent safety data. In sum, a total of 21,822 ADRs were reported in conjunction with childhood vaccines since 2005 in the UK, an astounding figure considering that health authorities repeatedly claim that all vaccines are safe and effective.

The Independent also reports that 2,587 of the 8,228 ADRs reported specifically for HPV vaccines were classified as "serious," according to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request, meaning they resulted in hospitalizations or were deemed life-threatening. And the total number of ADRs associated with HPV vaccines were found to be a whopping three times higher than for the next highest-risk vaccine, the flu shot.

"I can confirm that the MHRA [Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency] has received a total of 21,822 UK spontaneous suspected ADR reports between the 1st January 2005 and 22nd April 2015 in association with the vaccines in the routine immunization schedule, 10,987 of these were serious reports and 10,835 were non-serious," wrote the FOI team in a response letter, which is available as a PDF here:

More accurate data calculations reveal as many as 120,000 injuries associated with HPV vaccines over 10-year period in UK

But the government's ADR figures represent only a small fraction of the total number of vaccine-related injuries that actually occur. As explained by the Independent, the official 21,822 figure covers as little as 10% of actual injury numbers, suggesting that as many as 218,220 children and adults in the UK have been injured or killed by vaccines over the past decade.

Calculated out, HPV vaccines would thus account for more than 82,000 of these injuries, a figure which actually downplays the vaccine's relative risk, as HPV vaccines weren't even introduced into the official UK vaccine schedule until 2008. The three years between 2005 and 2008, in other words, during which time injuries from all the other vaccines were being accounted for, HPV vaccines weren't yet being administered.

If you prorate these missing three years of data, HPV-related injuries and deaths over a 10-year period would be closer to 12,000 rather than 8,000 -- or multiplied times 10 to account for under-reporting, as much as 120,000.

"[T]he number of reports received... does not directly equate to the number of people who suffer adverse reactions to drugs for a number of reasons, as this scheme is associated with an unknown and variable level of under-reporting," admits the MHRA. "ADR reporting rates may be influenced by the seriousness of reactions, their ease of recognition, extent of use of a particular drug and promotion and publicity about a drug."

Since 2005, serious adverse events associated with HPV vaccines in UK likely exceeded 26,000

Based on MHRA's own admissions, roughly 32%, or 2,633, of the 8,228 reported ADRs associated with HPV vaccines were "serious." If you account for under-reporting, this number skyrockets to 26,330, meaning the reported number of serious adverse events (SAEs) associated with HPV vaccination were 132 per 100,000 vaccinated, with actual rates of SAEs following HPV vaccination translating to about 1,320 per 100,000 vaccinated.

Meanwhile, rates of cervical cancer, for which MHRA says the HPV vaccine helps more than it hurts, is only about nine in 100,000, with the number of deaths due to cervical cancer a mere two in 100,000. More data on this is available through Cancer Research UK:
