Why I refuse to watch ISIS beheading videos or view naked pics of Jennifer Lawrence

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, NaturalNews Editor

(NaturalNews) We all have to be careful not to let popular content pollute our minds with images we don't want residing in our psyche. In honoring this, I repeatedly make conscious decisions to avoid viewing damaging material that's being widely circulated by others, and so far I have managed to completely avoid seeing any ISIS beheading videos. I have also managed to avoid seeing any pictures of Jennifer Lawrence in the nude, a feat which seems notable in this age of rapidly viral celebrity photos.

I'd like to explain why I have this policy and invite you to join it in your own interests. First, let's start with the popular celebrity topic of the day: Jennifer Lawrence and her nude photos hacked out of the iCloud.

Electronic voyeurism

First off, the idea of viewing naked photos of people who had no intention of being publicly viewed in the nude is super creepy. It's a kind of "electronic voyeurism" and I see it as a violation of that person's privacy.

Secondly, I believe we should treat others in the way we wish to be treated ourselves. If someone ever manages to snap nude photos of me, I would hope they wouldn't distribute them all over the internet. Then again, pics of my naked white butt are probably not nearly as interesting to the male masses as Jennifer Lawrence's naked white butt, so I doubt anyone would want to share them in the first place. "Look! It's the Health Ranger's naked white butt! Yep, it's naked and white and it's a butt alright! Can you close the browser now please?"

Thirdly, I seriously doubt there's anything especially fascinating or unique about Jennifer Lawrence's physiology that isn't already found on other female bodies. I haven't seen the pics, so I don't know for sure, but I'm willing to bet that whatever is in her photos isn't of alien origin. Now, if Jennifer Lawrence's photos showed that she had something like fifteen toes, then I can understand that would be intriguing and sharable. But if what's being circulated around the 'net merely shows that she's human, then I really don't see what's so fascinating about it.

My heart goes out to all these people whose nude photos were hacked and distributed, by the way. None of them deserved to have their privacy violated in this way, and the only way we can say NO to this sort of violation is by refusing to mentally participate in the "consumption" of those photos.

That's why I will never voluntarily seek out or view these photos, nor any other photos hacked from people's personal photo collections.

No ISIS beheading videos, either

Although I've seen still pictures of the ISIS people standing behind an American journalist about to be beheaded, I have intentionally never watched any of these videos.

There are several important reasons for this, and the first may surprise you: I think these videos are being played up by the media as part of a warmongering psychic attack on America. It seems a whole lot like the news images and videos following the 9/11 attacks. All we saw for days and weeks was the same horrifying videos of the airplanes crashing into the twin towers until the videos were burned into our psyche forever.

The news media pounded these images into our minds like some sort of psychic attack, prepping America to beg for the kind of police state action that soon became the "U.S. Patriot Act" -- the Bush-era law that legalized NSA operations for spying on all our phone calls, emails and online search traffic.

When I see the mainstream media pushing violent videos over and over again, red flags go up in my mind because I recognize it as a propaganda attempt to prep America for war. You can bet America is being prepped for war right now, and these ISIS videos are all part of laying the framework of "popular support."

I refuse to voluntarily subject my psyche to senseless violence

Beyond the propaganda reasons for not watching the ISIS beheadings videos, I also don't want to subject my psyche to the violence of it. Why on Earth would I want to see the violent act of someone's head being cut off? It's bad enough seeing videos of children being vaccinated with toxic vaccines laced with brain damaging mercury. Our world doesn't need more violence. Vaccine violence, pesticide violence and medical violence against our children is already too much to bear.

Finally, there's considerable evidence that these ISIS beheading videos were faked. I haven't investigated this myself, but several sources have told me they're sure the videos are faked in the sense that the victims were killed weeks earlier and that somehow the beheadings were recreated for visual effect.

I can't say whether I believe this story or not, nor can I claim to know anything at all about ISIS or who started it, who funds it, etc. That's just not my area of focus. But whatever the case may be, the group clearly wants to terrorize our minds with images of violence committed against American journalists. And personally, I don't want to have that image bouncing around in my consciousness.

Withdraw your consent

So much of what we see in the media is really just an assault on our consciousness. The very best defense against this assault is to withdraw your consent by turning it off.

If you simply refuse to watch mainstream news broadcasts, you aren't subject to their mind-numbing programming and propaganda. If you choose truth-based news websites instead of corporate-controlled news websites, you'll start to feel empowered rather than dumbed down.

If you don't participate in the "consumption" of hacked celebrity photos, then you aren't part of the large-scale violation of their privacy and dignity.

In an insane world, most of the secret to success is simply found in withdrawing consent from those who are trying to invade your brain with sickening images of violence and perversion.

Because at the end of the day, ask yourself this question: Is your quality of life any better AFTER seeing a beheading video or a stolen nude pic of a movie star? Not in the least. In fact, by viewing these items, you've allowed others to get inside your head and influence your memories and experience. And that means Jennifer Lawrence isn't the only victim here: YOU are too!
