Laetrile cover-up exposed at major cancer hospital

by Jonathan Landsman

(NaturalNews) In the summer of 1972, one of the most prominent cancer scientists of the 20th century was asked - by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center - to test laetrile in spontaneously occurring animal tumors. The results were promising - to say the least. Naturally, more research would be needed, but what really happened next is inexcusable.

On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, former Memorial Sloan-Kettering employee Ralph Moss, Ph.D. blows the whistle on the conventional cancer industry. Find out how natural cancer therapies are being suppressed by western medicine.

Medical crimes against humanity must stop. According to the American Cancer Society, "available scientific evidence does not support claims that laetrile or amygdalin is effective in treating cancer or any other disease." According to Dr. Moss, that's a complete lie.

Top chemotherapy scientist gets positive results using laetrile

As a cancer researcher, Kanematsu Sugiura, DSc spent most of his career at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. A pioneer in cancer research, Sugiura - before his death in 1979 - completed over 250 papers and received numerous awards including the highest award, by the Japan Medical Association, for outstanding contributions to cancer research. This was a dedicated scientist.

The Japan Medical Association once thanked Sugiura by saying he was "an inspiration to so many Japanese physicians and surgeons." In 1966, New York City Mayor John V. Lindsay and the New York County Medical Society recognized Sugiura for his devotion to the field of medicine. This was no ordinary cancer scientist. In fact, in June 1973, his photograph appeared on the cover of Cancer Research.

After his retirement, in 1962, one would think he would just live out his life in peace and happiness. But, at age 80, after being asked by Memorial Sloan-Kettering to report on his finding about laetrile, Sugiura found himself in a huge controversy. After reporting his positive findings about laetrile, this man found that his old friends left him and former colleagues questioned his sanity and competence. But, the big question is why? What were these people so upset about?

On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, Ralph Moss, Ph.D. and Eric Merola detail why Memorial Sloan-Kettering deliberately attempted to suppress the effectiveness of laetrile on cancer cells.

Why is laetrile banned in the United States?

According to Memorial Sloan-Kettering, "systematic reviews of several studies concluded that amygdalin is ineffective as a cancer treatment." They go on to warn the public about 'dreadful' side effects like cyanide toxicity, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, coma and death. As crazy as this may read - they don't want you to consider laetrile but chemotherapy is o.k. - offering many of the same negative side effects.

Of course, if you search the internet, every pharmaceutically-supported cancer resource will warn you to stay away from laetrile, the Gerson Therapy, Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez plus many other alternatives to the lucrative chemotherapy business. In truth, there's a really good reason why we can't trust these people anymore. Find out on the next NaturalNews Talk Hour with Jonathan Landsman.

This week's guest: Ralph Moss, Ph.D., medical writer and cancer industry whistleblower

Learn why the conventional cancer industry is lying about natural cancer therapies - Sun. Apr. 27

Our first guest, Eric Merola is an internationally award-winning documentary film director. Before starting his career in documentary films, Eric was a motions graphics designer and animator commissioned by various clients including Fuel TV and WE Network. In 2007, Eric began production on his first documentary, BURZYNSKI, which won numerous international awards including "Best Documentary of 2011" on The Documentary Channel and the "Humanitarian Vision Award" at the Newport Beach Film Festival.

Eric has since released a sequel to BURZYNSKI in 2013, which also won the top Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary at the Sedona International Film Festival in March, 2014. While working on the sequel to BURZYNSKI, he was also shooting and directing his third documentary, SECOND OPINION: LAETRILE AT SLOAN-KETTERING. This documentary reveals the laetrile cover-up in shocking detail.

Our second guest is Ralph W. Moss, Ph.D., founding advisor to the National Institutes of Health's Office of Alternative Medicine (now the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine) and to the NIH Cancer Advisory Panel on Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

As a medical writer, Moss has written 15 books on questions relating to cancer research and treatment. He has been an invited lecturer at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the University of Arizona Medical Center plus many other universities, medical schools and societies around the world.

The former science writer and assistant director of public affairs at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York (1974-1977), for the past 35 years, Moss has independently evaluated the claims of conventional and non-conventional cancer treatments.

On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman, Eric Merola and Ralph Moss, Ph.D. give you a 'behind-the-scene' glimpse at the unscientific, criminal nature of the conventional cancer industry. They are not interested in natural cures. The truth will reveal itself on this program.
