Cigarettes to no longer be sold at CVS Pharmacies

by PF Louis

(NaturalNews) As of October 2014, the CVS Pharmacy chain will cease all tobacco sales. There is a bit of hypocrisy within their proclamation that is only apparent to most of those who seek health freedom and take responsibility for their own health. That is, CVS will continue filling toxic prescriptions and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs with their toxic side effects as well.

CVS also has 800 in-house walk-in clinic facilities in 28 states called MinuteClinics that handle minor injuries and ailments, diagnostic testing procedures and, most importantly, offer 15 types of vaccinations.

So you see, this is a medical racket for the sheeple. Get your diagnosis or treatment from a registered nurse and/or physician assistant and CVS is right there to fill any prescriptions or offer whatever OTC drugs are recommended.

No fuss, no two stops needed to get and fill your prescriptions. And you can get your flu shot or get your child caught up on the CDC-recommended vaccine schedule for children. If you or your child has an immediate reaction from the shots, the MinuteClinic is there to assist you.

But once you leave, it's like one of those used car lot deals where as soon as you hit the street it's your problem.

Of course the CDC praised the announcement, with its director, Thomas Frieden, telling Reuters, "I think CVS recognized that it was just paradoxical to be both a seller of deadly products and a healthcare provider." Well, that's just a PR move in my opinion, strictly for the mainstream medicine devotees.

Marketing and money associated with cigarettes and healthcare

CVS and their MinuteClinics are pushing deadly medicine like crazy. But the majority of the sheeple consider it all part of healthcare. Apparently, Walgreens and others pharmacy chains don't consider the mainstream paradox as worthy of discontinuing cigarette sales.

But they don't have or promote walk-in clinics and treatment centers that are considered healthcare centers among the mind controlled masses. With CVS MinuteClinic healthcare centers and their connections with Medicare to offer smoking cessation programs, CVS looks at long-term revenue rising after the initial drop from halting cigarette sales.

As a result of CVS's announcement, their stock values dropped slightly in anticipation of revenue reductions from no cigarette sales. Major cigarette manufacturers also experienced slight stock value dips. Meanwhile, Walgreens and other pharmacy chains experienced a couple of ticks up on their stock values.

Market analyst Nik Modi noted that over 75% of cigarette sales are made by convenience stores. So he didn't expect any long-term issues for the tobacco industry. But Dr. Richard Wender of the American Cancer Society said CVS's move would have an effect. "Every time we make it more difficult to purchase a pack of cigarettes, someone quits," he said, as quoted by Reuters.

Not only that, doc, but the CVS MinuteClinics are also offering smoking cessation programs. Hopefully they won't include the Pfizer smoking cessation drug that induces suicides and murders (http://www.naturalnews.com).

Then again, after getting slapped around publicly for advertising slanted toward American children, as with the Joe Camel cartoon logo ads for Camel cigarettes that went on from 1987 to 1997, cigarette companies simply increased their foreign marketing.

Special attention was given for promoting American cigarettes in developing and Third World nations. The cigarette people are relentless.

And the FDA has allowed several declared carcinogenic and toxic additives to be part of their products without disclosing what they are. Corporations have trade secret laws on their side to hide their dirty secrets from public awareness.

The same FDA and CDC are completely behind all the dangerous pharmaceuticals prescribed and OTC meds that CVS offers. And that includes the vaccines. It's amazing how tobacco diseases and deaths are heavily publicized while there is only a hush when it comes to the hundreds of thousands of deaths and disabilities from properly prescribed pharmaceuticals and OTC drugs.
