Learning the eight steps to holistic healing with children

by Linda Wojcik

(NaturalNews) For anyone considering using holistic and vibrational medicines to help their families heal, these steps may help guide you in that direction with confidence and security.

One: Educate yourself on products and therapies you are spiritually drawn to.

Parental instincts can help guide you to a vast array of books and seminars on alternative healing therapies. Take advantage of every opportunity that is presented. It is important to trust the medicines you choose to administer to your children; and the more you know, the more you will trust.

Two: Recognize that each child is unique and different and each requires individual attention to help them heal.

Helping our children heal means learning to understand each of their personality types intimately. Pay close attention to their body's signals, physical and emotional, so you are quickly alerted when they are in need of assistance to bring them back to balance. Pay close attention to the results, or lack thereof, of any remedy you choose to help them heal.

Three: Demand a respectful relationship with any doctor or practitioner you hire.

We do not always agree all of the time; however, it is essential that your choices are honored and respected. Search out doctors and practitioners that allow the development of a healthy relationship with you and your family. You know your children best. Demand respect as the main caregiver of your child's healing needs. It is most important that YOU are comfortable with any medicine or therapy that may be suggested.

Four: Choose the therapies that you feel most connected to at the time.

Nature has supplied us with a bounty of medicinal choices. Choose the ones that you feel most connected to at the time. As you grow and learn, the therapies you use may change or expand. Allow yourself that flexibility.

Five: Create a healing medicine cabinet that suits each child's individual needs.

Because each child is unique, you may find that the medicine that works for one child may not work for the other. Creating a holistic medicine cabinet for each child will help guide you toward consistency with your choices.

Six: Learn to accept that others may not agree with your beliefs.

It is unhealthy for anyone to force their beliefs upon another. If we desire respect, we have to respect first. Learn to let go and let be. Your energy can be better utilized to become more confident in your abilities and knowledge of the healing practices you are choosing for yourself and your family.

Seven: Recognize that our children teach us what we need to heal in ourself.

We are continuously programming our children from the moment of conception with every thought we are thinking and every word we are speaking. Learn to choose your thoughts and words wisely. In time, you will realize that what you want changed in their behaviors, change in your own first.

Eight: Respect the leadership role each parent plays in helping their children heal.

The years will teach you a great deal about healing. Your children will become your most powerful teachers. When you desire them to be more forgiving, become more forgiving yourself. When you desire them to be more loving, become more loving yourself. When you desire them to become more compassionate, become more compassionate yourself. They will follow your lead, and one day you will learn that love really does heal all.
